She made what? LOL I'm contemplating having one of these for my breakfast dessert.

What? There is breakfast dessert! Hey when it's this cold and I'm going outside to shovel and bring in wood, I need energy! Right?:D

Actually he has already mowed it a couple of times since Christmas as we have a couple of female dogs that don't like the grass long when it is wet.

Once the wind calms down tomorrow we'll push in the rest of the Beech with the sled, if we don't get five loads from the Beech we'll make the rest up with the loads of Ironwood.

That should get us through this cold stretch.

Put up a "new" light in the basement hallway. Nothing pretty but finally got around to replacing the bare bulb.

Now it looks like I'm going to start doing my taxes.

o_OI don't believe it, but I got outside today for over 4 hours! o_O

The wind died down here, the sun came out strong, and I was able to get a bunch done outside. It was still cold, but I dressed in layers and had every inch of my body covered except my eyes. LOL

So I cleaned the pellet stove down at camp and got it fired back up. That should be good until tomorrow morning at least.

I plowed out the camp, the road to there, and the house with the truck and shoveled them both out as well. We got several inches.

I brought some Pine into the basement from under the porch, wife helped me with that so it went faster.

I fired up the tractor and let it warm up while cleaned up the stairs with the shovel. The Kubota starts great in the cold.

I then used the tractor to scrap down some areas that needed it and pushed some banks bake to make some room for the next storm.

I then brought in some Ash from an outside stack, using the tractor to set it next to the front door, and placed that all around the walls of the basement so it will begin to thaw and dry some more. The wife and kids helped me move that in so that went faster.

While on break I made up a full crockpot of home made Chili for this week.
And I made a home made pizza sauce for the home made pizza I am putting together for dinner tonight.

All and all I got waaaaaay more done than I thought I would with these temperatures. And now I am having a cold

The 40th anniversary show is on tonight. That's why they played a rerun of the first episode.

The old SNL was not bad, but not any funnier than the new ones. IMHO. I like the modern SNL. Some folks say the old ones were soooooo much funnier than the " new not funny crap", but I think that's peoples memories remembering the old episodes more fondly than they really were.
There were bomb skits in the early SNL days too.

It's always been an edgy show. Gotta roll the dice and see which the people really like.

Took a load of dry alder of Campinspecter's brother's over to Granny's place this morning. Came home and put wood in the basement for our boiler. Campinspecter is getting ready to go and get a load of wood for us tomorrow now that we have an empty bin to put it in. We are expecting some nice weather for the next couple of days.

That old vmax is like our 2up Yamaha venture 600. The 5 and 600 twins were not the most powerful motors, but built like tanks and practically indestructible. They suck gas, but can run any quailty of gas. We've got nearly 10,000 miles on or 2up 97 venture 600. Most 2stroke sleds would need rebuilding at least once or twice in that time.

Riding with that newer cat in sure you've seen some issues with the newer sleds, and that is the better reliability wise "dirty" 800 from what I can see. And there's a new yamacat back there too in the right.

I love snowmobiling. Probably the most fun you can have motorsports wise, and you don't have to go to a racetrack to have fun. But the winter season is fickle. I can't see spending 12-15k on a new machine that you will at best use 4 months a year, and more realistically 2 months due to conditions.

Ya, start doing the math on something you spend 12k on and use 10 times a year, very expensive. I paid $3200 for the Yamaha and I've had it 12 years, not too bad.

Yup, comfort food. My bride made a fantastic pot roast with red potatoes and onions and gravy. For the SNL special we have homemade chocolate cheese cake with whipped cream.
