This is a week away but they're forecasting ice just south of Boston, I hope it's wrong.

Have you New Englanders had extreme cold along with high winds?

I cannot believe we didn't lose power last night. Expected temps tonight real feel -20°F Were expecting up to 6" again mon-tues, and poss another storm next weekend. Nothing like you northerners, but we've consistantly gotten 4"-6" per storm...

Very windy and 21 degrees here right now.. Still snowing at a good clip.. Saturday morning was 11 below zero here for a low.. Coldest I have ever seen here.. No power loss and I attribute that to the snow being the dry fluffy variety.. We have gotten I estimate minimum of 16-18" with drifts at least 5' high.. Unreal!

Insane! The wind+the low temps are nuts here.

We had big storm after big storm last winter, I think 62" total 13/14, I cant imagine your snows!

In from clean up. The snow total was not high here, but for me it was the most difficult storm to move snow. We are running out of room to put it out front, so all the driveway snow must get pushed to the back. It is basically moving it twice. Snow that builds up on the 8'+ snow banks by the road avalanche down again. The wind is picking up so throwing snow into it is just plain stupid. The leftover beef stew will be good for lunch soon.

    Stupid snow.

On my way out yesterday afternoon, I was one upped on my home made drift cutters. I saw a guy had take those green 4' light duty metal posts and bolt them onto the side of his snow blower scoop. He had about 3' of home made cutter over his scoop. He was slicing banks off in front of his driveway like roast beef.

I just got in from round 1. 3 hours to get the driveways, major paths and the patio snowblowed. Stupid shear pin broke again so that slowed me down a bit.

Mrs. made homemade chicken soup while I was out there, bless her heart.

Now its out for round two to shovel the paths the blower cant reach and rake off the roofs again. Probably 2-3 hours more work yet.

South end of town got 14 inches, north end got 22.
I figure I got 16, (measured on the top front step) but the last 8 inches this morning drifted quite a bit. Got a hip height drift on one side of my house. Just the south side of my house is open so I have quite a bit of wind break from the trees on the north, south and east sides. Headed out now to start cleaning up. ( shoveled the steps and walk to the driveway this morning and went back in) Usually have a pretty good drift at the bottom of my driveway near the street. Haven't been that far yet.
Might be too windy for the snow blower.

Yup, I dont blame ya! I was pushing snow at 8a.m. this morning. It was 5°F/wind chill -15°F

The beard was frozen solid. I didn't hear any of the smarter neighbors out yet either.
