Way back 25 or so years ago I was at a record store (remember those?) and they had this album playing. I bought it that same day and was lucky enough to see Steve Earle live several years ago at Farm Aid
Well due to blizzard conditions tomorrow plus Teresa working where she just might not get out on time if no one shows up to releave her shift we decided to bag the concert. With an hour ride in good conditions, an area that will have no parking due to snow and we just may not make it on time at all.... it just isnt worth it to try and attempt this one. I sold the tickets last night. Too bad, I was looking forward to The Pretty Reckless as I have been hearing great things about their live show.
I do , spent a lot of time and money in them back in day and I'm very fortunate that there is a place called Main Street Jukebox , about 20 mins. away . http://recordstoreday.com/Venue/3515
It sucks you couldn't go G ,but you made the right call better to be safe than risk something happening to you or Teresa .
Threw on an old cd today forgot how Great this album is and how awesome Steve is ,he is the chit on the organ and key boards
Thanks Will. In my youth the weather wouldn't have made a difference, I once drove from north of Boston to Providence RI in a snow storm to see Dire Straits in their final tour. These days, its a different story as there is so much more to life than making a concert.
It starts an hour after I go to bed. Also looks like it would be a few hundred dollar night. http://centrekingston.com/Tickets-Active.php?eventID=1715730&venueID=6512
I have about 15 of these as mp3s, mine are all no music and nature sounds though. I even have the sounds of a outdoor campfire.
The sun is out and the main roads weren't even plowed at noon today. They are still a mess. The secondary roads...forget about it. I'm about to get all Godfather with Penndot! (Kidding ) (Been passing the time with mobster movies)
