Get it. I have two ms 290's and I know what they are capable of. I've cut a lot and I mean a lot of wood with them both and have finally stepped up in saws with the 441cm However I can promise you that mine would have already been through this with ease and on to the next cut. I'm cutting bigger wood with mine now than what's shown on this vid. It pays to clean maintain a saw and keep sharp chains. It irritates me to see people blame a saw when it's there fault not that this guy said anything to that effect but I have seen some who do
That's painful to watch, because I've been there (didn't know much better at the time), although I figured out pretty quick the chain must have gotten dull. He's using an awful lot of fuel/oil on one cut. I'd like to see the other side......I bet there's quite a lot of sawdust over there.
Outside of a 25 inch b&c on a 290 I found this one very interesting just for the fact of where they was cutting Id be on that place like a hog in a 5 star restaurant I didn't want to create a new thread so I put here
The dreaded ,, eeeeraaaaaaaaaawwwwhhh - see saw. His last saw was a Pull-on Wildthang , ModelOS, and that Stihl,, no matter how dull has him grinning ear to ear.
This dude should not be allowed to own any power tools if your that damm dumb he's throwin nothin but dust .really
I know right as if see sawing it is going to make it go right through it. Lol It don't matter what brand saw one has weather it the latest and greatest or the Walmart special. At least take the time to do maintainence that's my thoughts
Work smarter...not harder. I'm thinking the first guys chain is not only dull but he's never touched up those rakers either. I see a lot of these video's of guys pushing hard and just making dust
I watched a friend many years ago trying to saw thru a log like he was cutting with a steak knife. I finally had to stop him... I couldn't take it any more. Not sure what he thought he was doing...
not my vid but the same idea You can turn down the volume... and dont watch too long or your head will explode!
This guy's wife is having a great time watching hubby "saw" that "tree". I did turn down the volume, but I watched the whole thing and my head didn't explode. I may have incurred some dain brammage though.
The first video i think the guys biggest problem was having some nasty burrs on the bar, i know because i was in his shoes last year due to having just bought or house and having too get a fresh load of wood that was dragged through the mud i didn't know any better. Spent more time sharpening chains and deburring bars than cutting wood. My cuts after sinking inn a few inches looked like that. What a nightmare!
