For anyone into nature and Eagles, the Berry College Eagle pair hatched their 1st egg yesterday. The Eaglelet is doing great. Now waiting to see what happens with the 2nd egg.

We have a nesting pair of Bald Eagles at a nearby lake here in N.E. Ohio. Huge nest. So far they have been breading well the past few years.Nice to see them caoming back.

There is a pair at work and possibly a third one too ,I don't think they nest here , just over winter. This is the 2nd winter I've seen them on several occasions. They cruise up and down the stream looking for fish ,I've seen them get a , few really cool. Trying to get a pic ,but they fly away when I try to get close enough:(

My buddy over in Montoursville has a pair nesting close to his farm on the Loyalsock. We see them fishing there quite often. I really enjoy watching them.

There's a pair nesting for the last number of years right by the lake at the family cottage. You can watch them from the couch.

It really is , I see them almost every day now about 20 mins, after sun rise ,they come up stream and perch in the same trees and sit there watching looking for breakfast. They are letting me get a little closer to them , maybe they realize I'm not a threat, hope so I really want to get a pic.

I'm wondering if that's a fish that's being fed right now.

Yes it is. The male had brought that and a grey squirrel in this morning. Kind a like surf and turf. The male sat on the nest for several hours earlier today while the female left the nest. Saw a pith hole in the 2nd egg around 4 30 this afternoon. It is supposed to drop down to 17 there tonight.

I have watched eaglets grow up on the river and move away just up the street from my house. My avatar is one of the parents that nests there. This is so awesome to be able to see in the nest.

This is our 2nd year watching this process. Last year only one of two eggs hatched, and a female fledged in may. Seeing nest life 24/7 is amazing for sure.

The second egg has hatched and there are now two eaglets. Pullin' for the little gaffers as they have a 40% chance of survival to the fledgling stage.

That is really cool. We watched them for a bit. I never understood why the hatch in the middle of winter.

These two eaglets make a total of 5 for this pair from this nest in 3 years. Amazing part is that the tree and nest are located in the corner of a parking lot on the main campus. I was lucky enough to catch the first fledge flight of last years female.
