When we moved we had already gone through a round of Goodwill and Salvation Army runs and still had a garage full so we called a junk guy, he came and filled up a dump truck.

SMB, just where is the snow going to be put! Intersections are a hazard. 4 lane roads now two lane but some idiots still thinking they are four lanes. I even saw a large truck riding up on one snow bank. Scary! I can just stay home, but most people are not so lucky. We have lots of food, we are warm ( for now). These storms seem to be in some system that just is lining up, one after another.

Well I also don't have to go out for work, food, or fuel so I'll just play in the yard. I'll see if I can fill the gully the brook runs through with the snow. I don't think I can come close to filling it.

These multiple storms just might be just as much a pain melting just as they are now burying us. An early thaw could mean desasterous floods.
I am hearing there might be an ice storm on the way mid week.

The last several storms were low moisture ones which is just fine by me.

If we get a quick warm up, which we are all looking forward too, you are right. It will be a mess. Flooded basements everywhere. But these below 0 temps 4-5-6 days a week are taking a toll. Especially with the heat in my truck being pretty much non-existent.

I just did a load calculation for the deck that I didn't build and other than not wanting to look out at it, it should be fine for quite some time.

The roof should also be fine as most of the snow blew up and over.

It brings a tear to my eye everyday we talk about one of them (birthdays, anniversary, holidays) or when we go to the cabin her father built with his own sweat, blood, and tears.

    I feel so bad....

Sorry, I know this is a couple days ago. I stopped receiving updates for this thread. :(

My new roof rake came in so I had to try it out.Did the entire house and the shoveled off the deck to make room for all the new snow we are supposed to get. That new roof rake is fantastic. It's actually fun to use.I had a blast.I know I'm a little weird.:loco: :loco: :loco:

Almost back to normal. Caught the crud last week. Thought I hacked up my lung a few days ago. I started getting better, then my wife and kid picked it up.

Dug out the good pellets tonight. Single digit temps for highs this weekend with lows in the negative double digits. Seems to be as good a reason to break into the Somerset stash.

Corn & Cubex for me. Somewhat mixed. The fort is holding up to this very cold snap. The princess is enjoying the much needed heat that the space heater greatly failed. Only good for shoulder comfort. Having my second MooseHead, mmmmmm!
