    I spent about 6 yrs. in downtown De-troy-it in the late 1990's. It is a UNIQUE and BEAUTIFUL place both in geography and people. I love celebrating the diversity, but will call out the racist/bigots in a heartbeat. Overall, this dude is "nothing special" in the most special place we call De-troy-it. Long live Detroit.     4 Yrs in Philly TOTALLY counts! It's way more F****'d up than the D. In my experience, Philly is the most messed up city in the entire USA.

    Amen. Plus my wife taught in the Philly school district for a year, at 29th and Glenwood, about 10 blocks west of Temple University. Wow, talk about a war zone...
    Yep, only one car and we got it back the next day, with a complimentary crack vial in the AC duct.

    Lived virtually my whole life in and around Detroit.
    I don't hate Detroit, but I do hate some of the crap I lived through....barely....when I lived there. I still do.
    Lots of bigotry and hatred there, and it isn't always who you might think.
