I did the same and shoveled out the termination and air intake. I've never had to do that before.

I am finally getting used to the sound of helicopters flying overhead without becoming alarmed, after about 1.5 years after moving from the mountains. Evacuated 3 times for wildfires, not having anything you need and not knowing if our house will be standing afterwards is hard. I miss the old place but fate brought us here. I pray for an uneventful summer for you Bob.

I have been dropping trees around cabin on and off ,my place would prob never burn.Neighbors have said"would you want to live here if all the trees burnt down?" and my reply is yes, less neighbors and they grow fast! But thanks for kind words. This is the warmest feb since I have been here-88.

asked my son to dig my vents out, while there was room, I asked him to move it way away from the vent. Blizzards have a way of moving drifting snow. I had an issue once. That is all it takes. We can open a window and ck, but no way can I walk to it. I would just have to shut it down until it is dug out.

WMUR in NH keeps dropping the snow amounts. Now the coast is forecast at 8"-12" and my area has dropped to 5"-10". The real issue is going to be the winds whipping up tomorrow morning.

That is what I'm seeing for this area also. The blizzard warnings are as bad as I can recall. Best to sit back and wait this one through. Don't do anything that could result in rescue crews having to be at risk because someone was impatient. It will be a whiteout here.

Teresa has to be in work as a nurse in Scarborough at 5:45 AM Sunday. Her ride from Kittery will be a tough one that I really wish she did not have to make. Hopefully the high winds will hold off a bit as she is leaving around 4 am to give extra time. Luckily she drives a full size Chevy Avalanche that is rock solid in the snow.

Fortunately we're not getting the snow that everyone else is getting, but this cold is nuts. The local news said that we're going to have record lows on Sunday, Monday, Thursday, and Friday mornings this week. Starting around midnight, it's supposed to be below 0 for the next 35 hours straight, which is really unusual for NW OH. I know some places are a lot colder than we are, but this is still pretty cold for us! The low for tonight is somewhere around -10, with 15-20 mph wind, and 70% humidity. Brrrrrr.:shiver::hair:

That was 4" to 8" by daybreak I believe. WMTW has been on air for sometime with storm information, the national weather service has issued special weather statements because the storm is going to setup some 2" to 3" per hour snow bands along the ME and NH coast.

Teresa sent me a text at 5:14 am letting me know she was at work and made it 30 minutes early. Sounds like the winds may not have whipped up along the coast at that time.

Now the next hurdle is if her shift relief shows up this afternoon so that she can go home. Hopefully the relieving RN is a company employee and not an outsourced one. The company has a zero tolerance for their own employees and weather attendance but no control over the outsourced ones.
