Don't look now but there's another one coming Tuesday as well, with some brutal negative temps between now and then.

As long as the thrower keeps tossing it down over the bank along the driveway I have a lot of room. But after this next one I might want to move some off of the front (back) deck so I'm not looking straight out at it on the deck.

Roof should be fine as it has been going over the roof and down into the back (front) yard.

wildwest, so you don't wander why I use both words, it is because I'm off the roads and what is my front door a lot of folks would call my back door.

You can keep it up there, it is headed this way but might be a tad warmer.

I'm thinking it might be close enough to do a leaf blower cleaning before the cold and crud hits as I was early on the last one.

This afternoon after the little one leaves I'll likely shut it down. I might need to use the snow blower to cut a path to the venting if I wait until after the storm hits.

I just had to snow blow my vent out. It was getting to close to comfort.

My vents and OAK are free and clear of snow but getting to them is what is likely to be a problem after the next round.

I make it a point to check them before, during, and after it snows. The pellet roasters stuff is easy to check by looking out the window, the boiler from the back (front) door.

I have never been a fan of power vented oil fired boilers because they are vented to damm low. My roaster is vented higher than the boiler and its OAK is also higher than the boiler's vent. Usually the snow isn't even close to being an issue unless it is light and winds are causing it to drift.

The last big storm here was the first time I ever cleared snow from the boilers vent during a storm.

Saturday evening and Sunday is slowly being canceled.

To prepare for the event, I checked my vents and did a full deep clean on the roaster.

We have plenty of food and TP. We have a new snow blower and the parts required to make the old one fully operational.

    I think we are ready.
