Sure! Interested in making a thread for others to mention burning myths too?

Go ahead. It might turn out to be something really good. Several things come to mind almost instantly.

This is like 80% of the wood burners in Southeastern PA.

I see the creosote and sure, he's been doing something wrong to have it dripping off the chimney like that, but the pics don't show much smoke at all. It disperses a foot or two from the chimney (at least the way I see the picture) I have a neighbor whose smoke plume goes literally 100 or more yards before dispersing.

Here it is on what I would honestly call an average day. The bad days are WAY worse. I don't know why the picture is sideways.

Maybe we can compile a flyer, such as, "How to get the most from your wood stove and save $$$" That usually gets peoples attention. You could leave it in this paper box or on the mailbox flag. At the bottom there could be an invitation to look up a certain group of firewood afficionados...

They wouldn't believe the flyer because their minds are already made up.:faint:

I've tried in the short time I've been burning. It either goes in one ear and out the other because of ignorance or stupidity.......................or their faces glaze over when I talk facts because their mind is made up.........................or they just don't care.
