I have a huge red maple trunk to finish bucking up first thing Saturday morning (from a job we did in a neighboring town a month ago), and Saturday afternoon/Sunday I'll be over on the farm getting wood for the maple evaporator! Even though it will be blistering cold, I gotta get it done. Sharpened 6-25" chains for the 064 last night as well as the 30" chain for the 372xp and two chains for my MS310. I should be good to to for a while. Gonna try to do some vids with the GoPro, one of an oak widow maker on the for and maybe a time-lapse of me bucking up the big red. And on Sunday morning I will do a video of building a friction fire up in the woods with the pump drill. We'll see how it all goes down...
The sled is running great! And I promise a pic or two (maybe even a video if I can keep the phone from freezing solid).
Spose to be -5F here tomorrow for the high. I am bringing the saws in over night so they will start easier. Gotta get the float packed down again after the last storm.
We'll be thinking of you Scotty as we are soaking up the heat right here in the house. High of 2 expected for us Sunday.
The maple season is the only thing I miss in Pa. Hope the snow isn't too deep to get around in the woods to tap the trees. Good luck hope you have a productive season.
