Local C/L post, is this a 2 man chainsaw operation like the old 2 man crosscut saws? Just never seen anything like this on a chainsaw, maybe some of you have, looks a little pricey but what do I know?

Two man chainsaw that's why there's a handle on the end.

Sounds dangerous. Probably why you don't see them much if ever, and never new. That looks like the newest 2 man saw I've ever seen.

They use them on those long bars that wobble and are so nose heavy the operator needs help.

That show redwood kings they had a two man set up they used to cut like a 10ft diameter log with like a husky 395.

The reason it's so expensive, is because that is a Stihl 090. That saw could sell for $1,200 alone. The bar? That's just a bonus. It's really not even as long as most 2 man bars.

The old Distton 2 man saw is an actual 2 man saw. Without the 2nd person? You were not cutting that day.

This 090? You can cut with all day alone.

This is a 2 man saw..

These days they use those extra long double-ended bars for chainsaw milling as well. You can add a sprocket to the end, as in the ad, or even a second powerhead:

Saw 010 (1024x752).jpg Here's one my father-in-law has in his barn. He retired it 30 years ago from his tree service business in Columbia county, NY. Could be purchased cheep for restoration.
