I tried making one out an old cartomizer(bottom coil). It didn't work well though. Could have been my battery's. I'll dig it out and try it on my new mod. I'll search "510 atomizer" on google an see what I get for hits.

The shop that has the taste bar might carry them. I'm sending them an email asking for details on what I need for hardware and when I can get an appointment. Hopefully, I might learn a few tidbits and find a good juice.

I picked up another tank. An iClear30B Dual Coil Clearomizer with a replaceable bottom coil that is rotatable. I also purchased another bottle of Birds Nest Elixers "maestro" which is a buttery coffee flavor (delicious) with only 3mg of nicotine. (They were out of the 6mg, sooo, it is what it is) I hope in another month I can rid myself of nicotine all together, and only hit this vap every so often. So far so good. Last night was my first strong want for a cigarette in awhile, due to a stressful situation, but things have calmed for the most part.

    I DON'T have a problem!

    stand.jpg

Been busy trying to find better gear and the right ejuice. I went to smoothvaporz and used their taste bar. I found a couple I liked, But couldn't spend too much time as the wife and son were with me on our shopping spree. I got some juice called RV red that tasted like a marboro in the store(But not at home). I did find a small kit that is a better travel set than the ecigalikes.

    new toys.jpg

I also found a juice that tastes like lemon aide and seems to settle the cravings that happen. Not as often as before, But still happen. And when they do, They seem more intense! :hair:

Money spent? Lots! But tomorrow is week 7 of no smokes! Just wish those periods would subside.

I made the board myself, Only cost $o.oo , But I must a had 3 nasty cravings while doing it. My workshop was also a smoke place. I found myself flipping junk off the bench looking for my smokes. I didn't have a ecig with me, So I had to run for one! I guess this is gonna take some time. :loco:

    :wacky:

I need a holder like that!

Ill be honest, at first I liked the tank pictured above, but id rather have the wicks inside instead of the wickless coils. The wickless are to free flowing for my enjoyment. At least the ones I have with the wick are more resistant, making it seem closer to a ciggarette filter. Cheaper to replace the wicks too.

I still use some wick clearomizers. Easier draw than a cartomizers, I like that they hold lots of juice and you can see the level too. You never know when a carto is empty until you taste the burning. Took a bit to get used to the tanks, But likely most of my tanks have adjustable air flow so you can dial it in to your liking.

The 2 best I have are the Kanger subtank nano and the Aspire Nautilus/mini Nautilus. I have the Kanger subtank mini on order. Pricey, But the flavor is amezine! Probably why the ejuice I tried in the store tastes different at home. I might try it in a wicked clearomizer to see if its any different?

I noticed a difference in the vap lounge compared to home. The stuff at the store is nicotine free.

I think the e cigs have to be better than the smoke ( read additives ). That being said I am an ex 2 pack a day smoker that quit 15 yrs ago. Now I smoke cigars . Like really good ones. Cant afford them so I dont smoke many. Bottom line I think ecig are better than regular cigs. Just my opinion

Never thought of that, She was using lower nic level juice. Most were .6 and the RV red was 0.

My guest for something that tastes like a nasty analog(for the spazz moments) continues. I may go for the lower range and just toot more? The higher nic levels just plan taste terrible!

I work with somepeople that swear by them. Gotta admit they smell good and are appealing. But kinda scared to try them.afraid I will stop on the way home and buy a pack of marlboro reds. Still got my zippo. Old habits die hard dont ya know. Funny how cigars dont get the craving going. I do love the cigars but just not the same.

Tried it in a wicked clearomizer and its still YUK! Has to be the nic level. Also notice most of the stuff a bud gave me is really low nic levels and I like all of them. They actually taste like what it says on the label.

Cuttwood's sugar bear(tastes like sugar smacks cereal) is my favorite and its only 0.6 nic level. Been tooting the heck out of it!

Get the subtank mini yet? (EDIT, I see you just posted this today, sorry.)

I just went from a Kanger Aero Mini w/ VV 3.0 to a Subtank Mini w/ IPV Mini 30W ... .5ohm coil in now and I like it. Picked up some kanthal too , messing around with the rebuildable deck, but I like the stock .5 coils ... they really perform well. The extra tank capacity is a beautiful thing too.

My subtank mini should be here next week. So far I really like the Nano, Should be even happier with the sub mini.

Well, it has been 1 week since I started with the e cig and I have smoked 1 pack of smokes during the week. I was a pack plus per day smoker and consider this a good start to quitting. The last 2 days I only had 2 smokes per day. This week I will try to limit to 1 per day if any. Hit another vape shop this weekend and picked up some more juice that was pretty good and also a Kanger Tech Evod Glass clearomizer. I really like the new tank and it was pretty cheap compared to the Aspire tank. I think I may grab another next time so I can have three flavors all ready to go at any time.

I gave them a call yesterday and asked why the taste was different. The guy(nick) said is they steep their juice before usage and I should google it to see if it would help. He said I should first let it breath out the alcohol(used in the flavor extraction process) first as it usually helps a bunch witht he taste. Told me to, Open the container and remove the dropper tip. Squeeze the bottle so the liquid almost comes out and then let it relax and pull the air back into the container a couple times. Then let it sit out(in a safe place) uncovered and open for 2 to 6 hours to breath. Try it again and see if it tastes any better. If not Steep it, store in a dark cool(room temp) place for 3 to 7 days. It should help the flavors come out.

I did the breath process and it still tasted blah, So I'll let it steep for a week or so. But IMHO this is a bit of BS that should be done by the makers. He said its because they make and ship out rather quickly. The China stuff steeps on the boat ride over, Where the US stuff doesn't have as much of a chance to. Not sure I bought all that, But we'll see!!

I did google steeping and found many vape heads do it and there are lots of different ways.

I like these little tanks too. I got a few of them coming so I can keep a variety tanked up and at the ready. I found some on sale at litecig and ordered them along with some more Cuttwood juice.

I really like the Kanger T3S mini for my travel rig. Nice and small but still holds 1.4 mils of juice. I also like the Kanger Genitank mini(adjustable air flow, But its pretty pricey. Another nice one is the Kanger protant 3 mini which I found on sale for under $7.00(normally $14.99) at a local smoke shop. I bought 3(1 for a spare) of them for the travel kit as I don't like the Ego CE5 cartomizers as much as the mini tanks. I can't stand the gurgling the CE5's seem to be plagued with.

I got boarded(no pun intended) yesterday and made another board to hold the mini tanks too. I only had a short piece let so I had to get a bit more creative to make them all fit!

From a pack plus per day to 1 pack of smokes a week , big improvement
Some people can go from smoking to just vaping in a day , others have to do it gradually

Usually its the coil. My genitank mini gurgled a bit until I swapped the coil for the newest version. V2 coil doesn't have an exposed wick like the V1's did.

The T3S mini has gurgled here and there, Just not as bad as the Ego CE5's. I clear it by taking it off and blowing down through the mouth piece while holding it over a paper towel. Usually see juice come out. Then its good to go for a while. The Ego CE5's don't clear easy. I stick them on my mod and crank the volts up to clear them. But you risk burning the coil and scorching the filling material. I have had them taste burnt after doing that. Its like throwing $3 bucks in the trash as it seems to always have the burnt taste after you scorch it. Main reason I bought into the tanks that are rebuild-able as all you need to do is change the coils out if you burn them. So far I haven't burnt any coils.

Got to say its more of a challenge than just lighting up, But more fun too! ;)
