Really warmed up today, so Buddy and I worked on the ash and hedge that we got last month. Split and stacked a couple of rows. I can't go at it like I used to, have to rest, but I'm getn er done. I had a good helper and supervisor image.jpg

Looking good chief - two woods I'd love to try - hedge and locust - both were everywhere when I lived in Indiana, but no hedge and very little locust here in NH. Cheers!

Looking good Chief! If you need some snow, we have some you can have.
Is that a Ariens (Gravely) splitter you have?

Hey, you have to burn what ya got. I have been fortunate the last 5 years or so, to have been able to cut some really good stuff. But I have cut and burned just about everything, and will again if I have to. And I have never been cold. It all burns.....some just better than others. :coldfire:

Just got rid of our snow, finally! Don't need or want anymore. :hair: The splitter is a Brave 22 ton, trunnion mounted cylinder, very compact. Nothing has ever stopped it yet!

How much did y'all get last Sunday Chief???? I got 18-20" up here, 5 miles South of the "cheddar curtain"!!

Even with this weekend being 40ish, we still have over a foot on the ground in most places.

It just is not fair to look at your ground and see very little white stuff. But I bet you enjoyed getting out over the weekend. It got above freezing here but nothing like I see others have posted. I think 35 was our highest.

Dennis, I see COLD coming our way this weekend. -10 to -15 with slight wind of 5 to 10mph. I think ZAP is going to be chilly if he goes out on his sled!

None close to me but I know some that do, one close to one of the places I cut. Most Amish around here burn coal.
