Well if the past storms are any indicator then: 6 days out forecast is flurries; 5 days out light snow; 4 days out steady snow; 3 days out heavy snow; 2 days out Noreaster ; 1 day out blizzard; day or event- beginning of next ice age.

I had to laugh this morning.
The Weather Chanel had a map with highlighted areas. Cantore says,,,,,,, " the pink areas will get "higher" amounts of snow and the purple areas will get "lesser" amounts of snow" .

    REALLY ???????????

Good morning, 11 degrees and sunshine. We received about an inch and a half of snow last night.
I didn't make it to the woodlot yesterday, it was just too muddy. I went and fetched 2900 pounds of gravel home to fill in low spots out back and tossed some off around me twin brothers' mailbox.
At least one more cup of coffee will be in order before I get to moving, me good brother sent me home with some delicious cold frosties I had to sample last night,,,

Another 10"-16" forecasted for Sunday/ Monday with a few inches today.

Where's the fast forward button? Gonna be a muddy spring.

Unfortunately, this exactly how its playing out.....again.
2 days ago forecast showed Monday with "a few flakes" and a "?" Now its beginning to snowball.

My 80 year old dad lives a bit north of Boston and is housebound since last years stroke. So far my 2 bothers and brother in law have been doing the snow duty over the past 2 weeks. My being almost 2 hours away and with no clean up help at my own home is keeping me up here.

Its sad that the days of finding neighborhood kids to shovel for $$ is over. Me and one my brothers use to fight over who got which neighbors. We were always out making money after the storms.

I just left my jobsite because of todays snow, started out well and went to crap really quick.
The news at noon was showing snow starting on late Saturday night and going through to
monday afternoon. Down my way is showing only 8-12".

I can laugh now but at the time I was steaming. Today wasn't any better, we started at 7 and all was going well and then the snow showed up at 10. I thought we might work through it but the job became unsafe.
I'm home now cleaning off the wood stacks, gonna bring up another cord onto the covered porch before Sundays storm shows up. :)

Yeah, its getting cold real fast and my road techs are saying the roads are getting worse instead of better even though its pretty much stopped snowing.

Lets hope that NH forecast has it right and we get spared Sat and Sun. I think that 33 degree temp for today was pre dawn as its been dropping steadily to the -6 for tonight. Its going to be a cold cleanup after work [IMG] :shiver:

It's even getting old in the belt.
We got 10" overnite. Walked to the shop to get the loader started and its waist deep. I'm 6'5" . :hair:
I wasn't expecting this much snow since the lake is froze over so I didn't really push back the banks. Just the normal once over every day.
This afternoon will be spent pushing everything back . Grrrrr.:headbang:

It's because there are no buttons to press on the shovel, and you don't get points that show up on their Facebook page.:loco:

It's windy here today. Anywhere from 20-30 mph from the S. If it keeps up, the U.P. might be a little closer to Canada by the end of the day...EH?
The temp bottomed out at -18 this morning. A cool one for sure.

Forum seems kinda slow today (or maybe I should back off the caffeine?)
