I would love to live in the U.P. someday also! Lots of woods and deerhunting cabins up there.

Nice picture Bryan. Is that a Remington 700 mountain rifle your Dad is holding? Looks like a nice one.

Sweet. I would love to have one in .280 caliber. I've got one in a .243 that I took out for coyotes last weekend. Put a nice scratch on the stock from my climbing sticks, not too happy about that.

    Welcome Frank and Beans :)

.270 has been my favorite caliber for years. The 25-06 comes a very close 2nd.

    Nice pic! Thanks for sharing!

Now just slow down there you two! Hold everything...we don't want this secret getting out about the U.P. ya know. Can't really just live here because you want too now. Someone will have to meet you at the border and go over some requirements with you guys. Just a few questions that you can't really study for sort of thing.

Don't worry yooperdave, it would be many years from now. Got that career thing going, and the kids have that school thing going. Not gonna be anytime soon.

Thanks DexterDay. I also like the 25-06. I would choose a .280 over a .270 though, personal preference I guess.

    Hey,
Newbie here, I am a disabled Navy Veteran. Bought a house in semi-rural Maryland. The house had an old fireplace. Installed an antique parlor stove in our living room for more heat and less oil consumption. I have 3 tree services delivering free wood and chips and I can't say no. Right now I am splitting by hand, but hopefully soon will get a splitter. Thanks for letting me join the forum.
