I posted a while ago about finally finding some used rubber roofing (EPDM) to use for covering my stacks.
Well, I just got around to cutting most of it up and covered my stacks.

This stuff is nice and really heavy. I decided to cut it 35" wide to have a little overhang on the stacks.
Thanks out to all of you here that suggested this stuff!

I know how you guys and gals hate seeing wood stack pics....

Looking good man! Make sure you have enough weight on it to sustain some serious winds.. I learned that the hard way.. When you think you have enough on it, add some more..lol..

Rubber covering does work good. Just beware that any spot that is low, water will turn to ice there. Usually not a problem but just beware of it.

The roofing rubber is good stuff. Looks like you got a hold of a bunch of it, good job covering.
That stuff is not cheap either

Those stacks are a thing of beauty! The racks you built are first class, how's that topcover working out for ya?
I'm missing your yearly bringing in the wood posts this winter?

    Thanks everyone..

Your exactly right... I thought these tarps are so heavy that they will stay put, but found out the opposite is true!

Tops are still good here. Hoping to get back into more outdoor stuff soon rather than just moving snow... back's had me feelin' lower than a fat frog in a dry well lately... ;) I like the temps/conditions around the end of March for dropping and hauling out logs. My son is fired up to cut a trail around the perimeter of our 14 acres, for his 2 huskies to pull his sled. We'll see. Lots of plans, not a lotta steam... :tears:

I can relate.... I haven't cut wood since the fall. This weather isn't helping my motivation either. I'll tell you what, this spring I'll post a bunch of motivational cutting and stacking pics and you do the same. ;)

Well put some jump back in those winter frog legs.... :dancer:

I found it on Craigslist searching rubber roofing. There was a roofing company in Toledo that posted it for free, just to get rid of it instead of paying BFI.

I picked up 2 - 10' X 20' pieces and a few small ones. They had a ton of the stuff, probably still do.

Sorry, mine was a joke. They are covered.... In snow.

I have metal roofing on the stack for this year and as I use it the roofing gets moved to next years stack. 4 sheets covers the 40' row. I think I would prefer EPDM but can't find it used for a good price.
