I had just finished hearing a few lines from a Monty Python movie when I read your original post. Also had a couple XXX's in me. Can you guess which lines I heard ?

Not so sure I am with you on the full faith thing ............. seen too much, and been through too much to go back

Oh I understand. Only time I have trouble with ethanol gas is if my KL-200 isnt mixed with it. That right there tells me all I need IMO.

It smells great too ..................... maybe all of these oils are smelling good due to being mixxed with VP94 ??

Do you mean that with the KL-200 you dont need an ethanol stabilizer for layups or periods of not being used ?
The KL-200 stopped water absorbtion ?

This would be interesting if it does/did ........... as I do run pump gas on quite a few 2 cycle motors, just not my saws

I have not used stabilizer since I been using KL-200. I have not seen any separation or water in my fuels to date. Thats all I can say from my experience with it.

Like I said I have a batch of fuel mixed since Oct 13. Been using and checking still looks fine, even took a quart in glass jar and set out open, nothing. I'm sure it must be loosing some gusto etc. But no water absorb to be seen or separation.

I took deleivery of a case of Saber Pro quarts yesterday, at a very nice price. Looking forward to trying this stuff after I use up the rest of the Stihl synthetic I have mixed up.

I'm trying a gallon of premium 92 octane ( it all has ethanol from pumps here) with Lucas semi synthetic oil. I'll try it out on Saturday.

I ran a couple tanks of the premixed 91 octane gas cans, and then supposed non ethanol premium 92-93 ( from counties far away) with amsoil that my cutting buddy had after I used all my premixed canned stuff. I like both, but I did get the chain professionally sharpened since I last used ethanol 87 octane with a bottle of ryobi brand 2 stroke oil, so I can't compare these realistically.

Until I ran the premium mixed easy fuel or whatever it's called, this stihl 029 has only seen e10 in it since new about 14 years ago.

I'll let you know what I think of the Lucas oil once I run it.

I'll find out of I like how Lucas oil smells compared to amsoil this weekend. I have a half tank of amsoil in my saw, and I have a gallon of Lucas in a he gas can.

I sure like how amsoil smells. :dex:

The amsoil domimator I have. Smells just like the husky XP and woodland pro I have. I can't smell the difference. I do like how two stroke exhaust smells as long as I dont have to smell to much and it constantly.

I like the 2 stroke race fuel smell. The trufuel premixed smells good, better than the ryobi oil I used up this fall, but cutting with my buddy that uses amsoil sabre, the amsoil smells even gooder. From my dirt bike and snowmobile experience, Klotz always smells good, so has bombardier ( skidoo and seadoo) oil. I use amsoil interceptor or dominator in my power valved Polaris sled. That seems to keep the valves clean. Neither amsoils I use in the sled smell as good as the sabre saw oil.

For folks that seem to never have served in our Military a little lesson today. God bless the men and women past and present.

Just like Military time there is Military date. Sorry it has stuck with me since early 80's........

Simply two extra digits ahead of the 13 would have taken any questions away.
Or, a comma after Oct. As in Oct, 13. The comma separates the day and month from the year.

    :D
Now back to what oil smells better.

:zip: just walk away and say nothing about stupid post above.

Why should I have to add 2 digits for folks that wasnt taught my way.

Almost got away without saying something. Oct 13 is Oct 13 . maybe we need to do like other country's and have our kids be in the military mandatory 18-20 for 2 years. Then everyone will be on the same page in the land of the FREE ;)

I knew what he was talking about. I've seen it used that way at some of these plants. A lot of their procedures come from the Navy.

It has stuck with me as well ............... nothing to be sorry about !!
My boss cant stand that I report the days events in military format (date and time). He wants me to do it his way, I keep telling him that it was beat into me and its gunna be tough to change .............
