True, and as much as people dislike Belichick, he and his coaches have overcome some big changes. They get the best out of their players.

So only making it to 4 is better than making it to 6 and winning 4? Lol nice logic.

Perfection. Kinda like that elusive 19-0 season. Takeing six to get the stats of 4 in the modern era doesn't help either.

Going to six in the modern era is incredibly more difficult than going to the four like others.

This is why it is hard to compare modern dynasties and past. What the Patriots have achieved has to be impressive even to the haters.

Also to compare pre-pass happy NFL quarterbacks becomes difficult. Montana & Brady are the best. Brady got the short end of 2/6 Superbowls and nearly 3 which had their own versions of "immaculate" receptions.

Bradshaw, on the other hand was the beneficiary of one such reception. 4-0 with the Steel Curtain behind you. Shoot, even Trent Dilfer and Brad Johnson have won Superbowls with incredible defenses. Bradshaw may have been a winner, but please don't bring him into greatest QB of all time discussions.

i dont think there is a "greatest QB of all time, theres a short list of great ones however. Bradshaw could be included in that list , as obviously Brady, Montana, Staubach, Jim Kelly (only QB to take his team to 4 straight super bowls) Marino, Manning (Archie just my opinion) Starr, and the list goes on.
for a QB to be "great" he has to be lucky in a way, he needs a team philosophy that fits his game for starters, this is one of the biggest plusses for Brady, who fell into a perfect situation when he took over for Bledsoe when he got hurt and never looked back

yes what the Pat's have accomplished is impressive a well run franchise
immaculate reception yes how about the "tuck rule"
Bradshaw was a winner ,yes and that's what you're judged on he's got 4 rings and you are right it's hard to compare modern dynasties with the old rules have changed DB's had a lot more freedom than they do today ,look at the receiver wrong and the flag flies

IMO he is one of the best of all time and so is Brady :)

"really nobody to blame but me," Pete Carroll. I'm not a fan of coach Carroll , but, this is exactly what a true "leader" does. He/she takes ultimate responsibility for all major decisions of the team, whether or not the outcome is favorable or not, whether or not he directly made the decision. Clearly "the buck stops with him." I truly respect that. He didn't throw his QB under the truck like coach Belichik did to Brady. I have to say Carroll proved himself "the lesser of two evils."

I will agree with Carroll taking the blame is of good character. Seems like a hell of a player's coach and clearly a good one.

To think Belichick threw Brady under the bus (you must be referencing those 2 sentences during all the deflate gate coverage) is wrong IMO. However, just my opinion.

I will respectfully bow out of this thread as football discussion amongst opposing fans ends as well as religion and politics.
