Winter is hard on us here, cost of heat and snow removal is a lot to contend with. Darn snowman won't let up. Springs a long ways away. :headbang:

Finally getting a decent storm here. It's been a pretty quiet winter here so far, but we're expecting 8-11 inches with 30 mph winds overnight, so we should finally have some fun with winter here.

 stove ran out while hubby grabbed his first nap in a couple weeks. Didn't want to wake him, but the new pellets after the stove out for an hour are taking way too long to light. Double

I could have gone out there to get a pitcher full or two of pellets, but then the open bag is harder for him to handle. Hmm. :shiver:

Darn. Had to scrape the burn pot and the speed bump in the rear is particularly difficult for me. He woke and went to get another 500 gal water. I have laundry on my mind too. No biggie, I save the :heidi: for the blinds he was supposed to hang today

I scrapped and restarted, seeing flickers now, woooo!

Now they're saying 10-14 inches of snow. Still 30 mph winds, along with windchills well below zero.

If it's gonna be cold and dark, might as well be snowy. :shiver:

It's not nearly as annoying here because we don't get nearly as much snow as other places. We've only had 15 inches total snow so far this year, which is 5 inches below average at this point. We might double that in the next 36 hours.

Besides...being stuck inside with wifey has potential...

Yep, I think WW let him off easy. Wife would have whacked me even if I was nappin!

Installed the new Lux 9600TS today. Thing has all the bells and whistles. Not so sure I like the blue screen, But I'll get used to it. Nice thing is the easy adjust and hold feature.Showed the wife and she liked it, In case she gets home early and the stat hasn't called for heat yet. She can easily bump it up to where she needs it.

I forget your stove, but speed bump is characteristic? for a bottom feeder, well known in harman circles.A cheap long screwdriver, less than 1/2" wide, sharpened works well.Wide tools do not allow pressure to take the carbon off.It is one of thse cases where smaller is better than

Yes Bob, bottom feeder. I turned the wide scraper tool on end for the edge while I was still pizzed lol, and it worked great :) Harman circle, interesting term I will try to remember. Heck, in a jam I would drag out any tool to get the stove running again. PS, hubby thanks you for suggesting the wire hanger while he was out of cell phone service area :)

Still want to know the name brand on the tag of the blanket in your coffee pic :)

Well, one of my little 4 legged friends needed an unexpected vet visit yesterday. I noticed my 12 lb tomcat Slick trying to pee in odd places and was not acting himself. Being a male cat and knowimg how dangerous a urinary blockage is to them, I called and got him in. Good thing because he was blocked and had a very full bladder. Luckily the vet got him to empty pretty easily, took a sample to send out and gave him a shot for the likely infection. I had to keep him in a room separated from his sister (adopted sister, not biological ) and a separate litter box to make sure he was peeing on his own.

Sure enough he is going on his own and today he is his normal self wanting to go outside in the cold and snow.

Apparently orange cats have tendency towards teeth/gum issues and bladder issues. He has both. But he also has the male orange tabby personality which is very friendly while authoritative when needed.

Here is a pic of Slick and his sister Daisy 4-5 years ago right after they came home from the same shelter. She may be small, but she is a scrapper

And one of Slick's favorite napping spots in the warm months
