Looking like we may get slapped on Sunday here in central PA, Saturday for Ohio. Some forecasts are calling for a total of 8-12" by Monday morning....I sure hope they are right, I'll have the sled ready to run by Sunday morning!!

I doubt we get anything, I have a feeling it's going below the mason Dixon line.

I hope you get some snow for the sled, we just received 4-6 inches with more in then forecast (3-6) so we'll get the sleds out so we can pack the trails down.

It's way too early to know for sure, so far this season I'd say they've been around 60% correct........

    But there's always hope!!

The freezing rain Thursday was real fun here in Ohio. Bring on the snow! I'm ready.

I have to say that over the years the forecasting has really improved drastically. Still, there are those times when they are so far off it is crazy. Even looking at the history, say, at accuweather. Not that long ago we were supposed to have had high temperatures in the 40's. This was not a forecast but an actual report. I know not how they got so far off but we didn't even get above 32 on those days!

So far this year they have all missed the mark badly. I think our greatest snowfall so far has been about 1 1/2". WE have just enough snow to cover the ground. I don't think we've received even 10" so far all season. With that, they say 1-3" for us this weekend. I won't sit waiting with the snow plow.

You know Dennis, perhaps years ago folks didn't take the forecast so seriously either. So when it missed the mark, it wasn't usually a big deal. After all, it is the weather right?

These days, it seems that whenever there is a storm forecasted, there's a fist fight at Walmart for canned beans, gas jumps up $.20, snow shovels become collectors items, and the gov't warns us that leaving our homes or traveling will result in certain death.

Gotta make sure you can make french toast when the snow flies. Stores were jammed here today (payday...snow...super bowl).

We must be next in line after PA/Ohio, calling for 8-12 out my way. Not sure where we will put it.

We got hit bad Tuesday, it is snowing now with a foot predicted, then now the called off Monday storm is back on as a potential blizzard. So, if you want snow, we have plenty. It is so cold there is no melting and no warm weather in the forecast. There is a guy about a half mile from me that is a snow mobile dealer/repairs who has seen some tough times. This should bring him some business when you consider how often these machine are broken down. Snow is so deep, my dogs are staying in the plowed area.

Yep :( Our forceast went from 50/50 chance to a pretty sure bet for 8-12 Monday with blowing wind ... and now they are calling for a low down to -10F (actual) Monday night!!

Kids will probably have 2 days of no school yet again.

UGH I need to get off my azzzz and rake off the 3 foot roof drifts today!

I have a 12 pitch so I wasn't that concerned but my father lives in a retirement style trailer park and I had to rake his roof last wednesday. It's a good idea
