Chelsea Iowa I don't know if he is the host or just organizing. Hedgerow knows more than me. But I already took that Friday as a vacation day. That one is on my shortlist as well as Wiggs (Western Kentucky) and Foragefarmer's in Virginia.
Yes... Big Iowa GTG at the Hoskey farm in Chelsea, IA. April 25th.. Many of us get there Friday and don't leave till Sunday. Some camp on the farm, some crash in the heated shop, Some get a hotel room in Toledo, IA..
Isn't it the 25th not the 5th of April? We normally get snow in early April. Then a week later it is beautiful.
Just looked the directions up and doubt I will make that one. It is almost 700 miles and 10.5 hours which is a bit far for me. That's a bit of a bummer.......
I already have the vacation planned and I will be stopping to pick up a friend about half way. I have the invite to stay at his place Friday, but after hearing Hedge talk about the Fri-Sun campout? So this one is 100%. I want to shake Mikes (Homelite410) hand personally for his generosity. He is a true giver. A person that I hold in high regard. Hedgerow is another one. Among many other men. . . Alright, back on topic!! I would have a Spring GTG here? But I hate that I don't have to travel.... So many people came from hours away for the Spring and Fall GTG's that we had.
Yup.. Mike is a good dude.. And really goes "all out" planning and setting up all the events at the Hoskey farm.. Friday and Saturday nights in the shop and around the bonfire outside are the best of the best...
I can bring some of that too.. But I was talking about this cat! Known him for several years and been meaning to meet him. Now is the chance.
