Who likes to buy printer ink ?

I hate to buy printer ink
I did find some cheaper on line but , I need it today so , off to best buy to pay $65 for 5 cartridges
Printer ink is racket

 

Ink, schminck. I used to do the refill kits.
What I love is buying a printer only to have the dang thing not print well.
The last one we got won't even pull the paper in. Keeps scrunching it up then stops and gives an error that there's no paper.
Stupid printer.
Time for a new one......again.

 

When my daughter use to work at best buy , I could get a discount, and sometimes ,it was the same price to buy a whole new printer with ink , rather than just buy the ink.
I bought a lot of good stuff there, very cheap, Those great days are gone ,

 

I had a 2 month old printer , (was a nice one to)when It was printing my cat attacked it, jumped on the paper catcher , the printer took a dive and was wasted, busted to hell .

Got my Ink , got printing done , with ink and 40 battery's , It took care of $115 bucks

 

That video is pretty much how I've been feeling re:my Canon Pixma MG3222.
Inexpensive, but shouldn't it work more than a couple times? Printouts were nice, .......when it worked.

 

Employee discounts aren't always necessary. I always look at what printers are on sale when I need new ink. More than once I have come home with a new printer.

 

My last one - HP PSC 1510 all in one lasted not quite 7 1/2 years.I never used the copy function & only the scan maybe a dozen times.Around 100 bucks if I remember.It finally shot craps in mid September after acting up a few weeks before.

Replaced it with another HP print only for $36,tax included.This one takes even better prints & should last me 4-5 yrs easily.Don't print many photos anymore,mostly invoices for stuff sold on feebay & lots of recipes/saw history/other stuff found online.So factory HP black ink lasts a long time,especially with mostly text on the page.

Maybe my next one should be an HP, IDK , mine has always worked great but the ink cost is ridicules
I like the all in ones , I have used the scanner quite a lot to enlarge scroll saw, and other patterns

 

When you decide to get a new one, take the old one out back , think about how frustrated you were, when it screwed up on you and bring down the maul on top of that POS

 

But wear your safety glasses.

 

Had HP printers since first PC in 2000. Havent checked ink costs for this one yet but the previous model I could get a 3 pack at Sam's Club - 2 black 1 color for around $43 including tax.That's close to 30% off HP's retail price,even on their website with free shipping & special sales its still at least 10% more.That would last me 12 months minimum,sometimes longer.Think this model's cardtridges are comparable in price to the last one.

 

I bought my daughter an HP, PC when she left home , that was a good machine

 

I bought a $300 laser printer two years ago, still using the toner cartridge that came with it. Ordered two replacement cartridges online, $21 for the pair. Same cart almost $100 at Best Buy. Thinking I am coming out ahead.

 

I like the Brother all in one. The individual inks are easy to replace with generic. I get off Amazon. Usually two complete sets for less than half the cost of one brand name set. For picture prints, I go to Sam's club. They can print what I want for less and better than I can.

 

I run HP Laser Jets. Ink ranges from $100-$160 per cartridge. Lasts about 5,000 sheets.

 

Why ! may I ask
There must be a reason ???
