    Hello

All parts and accessories can be purchased from Lowes!

    The basic service is free!

    • Basic control of your Iris devices
    • Email, text or voice call alerts to the account holder if your alarm is triggered
The Tstat is millivolt and has the swing setting for pellet stoves!

    Anyone use this?

I just picked up the Smart Kit for starters and got the $100 dollars off! See attachment below.

I prefer the old fashioned non hackable way. Eventually the neighbor's brat will be able to control everything if you give them a chance.

If it's warm enough for the stove to be off when I leave in the morning then it can wait until I get home. Otherwise it's always on. Sounds like a waste of money to me.

    Hello

We were busy today so I only managed to get one AC plug in outlet control working from a web button.
I put it on a light on my work bench in the shed. Now I can turn it on or off from the web and the web page shows how many watts it draws. I used an LED screw in light and it only draws 4 watts!
I did not need the range extender to reach the shed.
So I am impressed so far!

Well Don,appears you do not check your threads or posts as people have shown your small attempts at technology is not what they want. Most of us run older stoves(that we have learned)and to save money, not to try to modify things to suid your needs. You are not a rocket scientist, and never will be one.You keep doing dumb chit an out there and kick your azz.

I guess I'm too old to get excited about this deal. I had two smart phones… went back to a dumb phone after I retired. I guess if you're after the newest, fastest, trickest new gadgets it would be a good fit. I'd be dead before I could figure out how to turn it on… now if I could just get my wife to go out Wednesday AM and crank up our Model T we could go get some vittles at the general store.

    Speak for yourself BadBob
I have many customers and install systems like the Ecobee SmartStat for them. This Iris system does more for less money. I am hooking up the Tstat next. As the price comes down more and more people are buying them. I want to be ready. You may have your own opinion but do not bad mouth others because it only makes you look bad and be sued for liable!

Most won't bother, A dumb stat will do! Ya need a smart phone and my phone is dumb. But.....................

I might up grade my stat to one that controls the temp on a day to day schedule. My current stat is 5/2 and now that the wife is home on Fridays I have to mess with the stat so she's warm. Seeing I don't see many day to day stats. This or something like it might be in the works.

A 7-1-1 maybe what you need Jay
I do not need one on my basement Harmy it runs 24/7 and regulates the pellet feed to keep the temp.
My Quad in the shop needs a T-Stat and sometimes we forget to shut it off at night so this remote control would work perfect in this situation. Every install is different but good to have options.

oddly,I concur with Krooser. Just got a smart phone....one of those droid things, because I hate Apple.....Im generalizing here, and gonna get slaughtered for it, but find that folks who live by Apple stuff are trying to project an air of technical savvy, that, well, they don't actually have. Plus, not a big fan of something that's not open-source, but that's just the icing on the cake.
We just got a new-fangled phone system in....voicemail, all the bells and whistles. I expressly DID NOT get voicemail on it for me, as I am feel that folks will be helped in a more timely manner if employees simply say: "he isn't available right now, can I help you?....", and frankly, most of the time, that works well. I also feel that it breeds complacency in the employee area, in that its much easier to pass a message off onto someones voicemail than it is to handle it oneself....
yea, I can be backwards......All you Apple-lovers, be nice!

You won't get any hassle from me first, I hate voice mail second, I am not a fan of closed software and third, the world would be a lot better off with less crud to deal with. Color me a 45 years or so of dealing with tech, and more than a few all nighters dealing with the fallout from same with folks pointing their fingers at each other. KISS is just fine by me, YMMV.

    Hi LW
I agree about voice mail and chat and email being to many forms of communication when a good face to face q & a can solve the problem quickly and correctly!
Technology can help but only where needed and should not be over used or relied on too heavily!
Technology can be used to help but only if no one else is available!
Also Harman pellet stoves do not really need a thermostat. However that new Harman Absolute stove has a color digital touch screen with icons like the ones used on a smartphone. We will see what comes of that?
