I bought 4 tons this year. I'm 5 bags into ton #3 this morning. I don't think i'm going to make it until mid april.... :/
Time to hog up and get some more stash. I'm hoping to end the season with 1.5 tons left over. Then again, Mother Nature has the final say in how much I'll end up burning this season.
I burn about 1.5 bags a day. As long as oil prices stay low, it's not a huge deal i guess. I'll keep running the stove on a slightly lower setting to give some more burn time, and let the pig bring the house up when it can't keep up any more. I wish i had more storage space. I can only house 3. the 4th ton actually takes over my man office area (a basement floor) from buy time till it's gone in late December.
unbelievable! husband saw a truck with heartlands last week, sure enough the dealer here recieved a late truck that was backordered from last fall. 2 tons on the way soon! That is *IF* my hired help can pick them up before they sell out.... Crossing my fingers
I was wrong, miscommunication with my hired help. There is almost 2 tons left in the pole barn. Luckilly husband is pleased, phew! As he is assured we will make it through may for a bad spring, and possibly August with a mild spring after the two additional tons I added..... Apologize for the mistake, I don't count bags or go out to the barn, can't even open the barn door lol..... New total, 4 tons on hand, 6 burned.
I'll be getting more. The wife likes it HOT so I've been burning nearly two bags a day. I don't play with the settings. I'll look over and see a roaring burn, then it will be a small burn and on and on. Does this all on its own and the wife is happy with it. Not much cleaning to do with this stove. Blazers burn really clean.
I need it blazing too. 2 bags a day is minimum during cold weather here. Nice job Larry keeping the bride comfortable
