    Hey folks,

First, somebody gave us and the other site a plug in the comments.

Second, we should read the article, create accounts, and make constructive comments about proper wood burning, dry wood, and how the poor burners are giving good burners a bad name. Some of the post in this thread can be made into great comments showing the other side of the story.

Read the comments. One of them suggest people wanting to learn how to burn cleanly visit Firewoodhoardersclub.com or the other site.

You know how to burn cleanly. Read the article and pick a point to respond to. The user "woodstoves" comment is pretty good, expand on some of it.

This is a "not in my backyard" issue. You can't say "ban wood stoves" with-out saying "drill baby drill' and "lets get frackin". They say this because it does not affect them directly, but I'm pretty sure those people in PA that can set what was their families drinking water on fire have a very different view on this, and for these nut jobs the poor fishes and baby sea animals every time there is an oil spill. Ok I am off my soapbox, wooosaaaahhhhhhh......

What we need is a FEMEN style protest group to illustrate the very core basics of survival without supporting Big OIl and Gas.

Wood burning is the smoke that's keeping everyone from paying attention to the effects of fracking. Feel like we are the whipping post!

I agree. Any one who burns wood for heat has a dog in this fight. One thing I have learned over the years though. Be it anti gun, hunting, wood burning you name it, when responding to the anti's it is very important to keep personal emotions out of your argument. What most of the anti anything cannot deal with are cold hard facts. Most of them are basing their side of the argument solely on some small amount of personal experience, or some over funded government study or "He said she said" scenario. It frustrates the crap out of them and then they start to come off like complete raving lunatics with a chip on their shoulders. Maybe a door to door survey for those of you in that neck of the woods would be in order, kind of a straw poll with signatures so to speak to get a piece of documentation to send to the media.
