I Finally got my Blaze King Princess Parlor And moved my riteway 37 into the shop I love both of these stoves today I couldn't be happier -32 outside 82 above downstairs 75 above upstairs 70-85 in the shop Got to love good ole wood heat
Snafu, looks good! So what is it that you use the wood with the partial burls/growths for in the background of the first pic? Any pics of the finished product?
Nice, that aught to keep ya warm for a while!! Enjoy! Wish BK would make a soapstone version of those things.....
I am thinking the 2 end slices will become lamps or scones that was a burl I sliced into 4 pieces they are drying out for now I have made other things from stumps and burls http://firewoodhoardersclub.com/forums/threads/natural-wood-furniture.7235/ there's a link to a post with pics of the things i have made so far
I have to ask as before joining this thread I'd never heard of the Blaze King. What is so special about them?
This link should help clear up any confusion on Blaze Kings.http://www.blazeking.com/EN/wood-stoves.html Personally I drool over them for the lengthy burn times while burning clean. I can get 8 hours out of my Answer but toward the end there isn't a ton of heat being produced but I can relight without and issue.
I got 7 hours out of a full load of dry birch on full air and still had 3-4 in bed of red hot coals so in fact it could have burned longer before burning all the way out My dad has the same stove only just about 10 years older and it gets up to like 12 hours on birch I ran his before and that's why I wanted one so bad
