Wimps, wait until the temps get on the minus side of zero.

Even though it's almost as cold, it's a lot easier heating today without the wind. That wind is a killer. Now we have more wind coming Wednesday with 3" of rain and temps in the 50's. Good thing the moisture didn't come with yesterday's temp's.

I've never been able to see a difference in the heat levels. But then again, I haven't exactly put a lot of good stuff into the P-61. I bought the stove so I wouldn't have to.

You need to go looking for air leaks in shell of your house. Heating problems not related to the temperature are the result of air infiltration (aka drafts, holes in the shell).

The cold is coming back on Thursday.

I agree. 80 year old house has lots of those. It also didn't help that the missus decided on the coldest day so far to open up 2 rooms we don't heat to wrap presents and let the grandkids play. So I was pi$$ing against the wind right from the start.

Seems a lot of folks do that from time to time. Now when those doors get closed again you need to get out the sealant and the big spikes and fix those problem doors so to speak. I keep looking for those pesky leaks and fix them when I find them.

I agree, but there's a skillet between me doing that and living without a headache.

From the looks of the forcast for the Wisconsin area tonight (possible -40degrees), looks like Krooser needs to check his "little black book" and call some of those women.....he might need a 5 dog night.
