All advice appreciated :) Know there are alot of dads here.

She knows how, she knows when. She will not use the potty 100%

I blame myself for this, not easy to jump up and wisk her to the potty for me. However I've been at it a year and she is getting too old to be attached to diapers (pee pee is 95% in potty).

She LOVES diapers, begs for them, like her security blanket.....We have been using pull ups at night but she is taking advantage of them....So far several brands of "big girl" panties she rejects.

A few days ago I started "commando potty training". Going pretty well so far, but odd to see her running around commando lol but the battles over diapers is wearing me thin. I put them out of her sight. I need the house quite warm so she's never cold commando or not.

    Worn out,

    thanks

We put our oldest in panties and a diaper cover during the day. It took a year to get her to go poo in the potty. She would try to wait til night time if she could. After I threw away a few pairs of panties she got the message and finally used it 99% of the time.

Bribes worked for a little while for us. Then she had lots of accidents.

Thanks! did she like the big girl panties? Is that why she didn't like to seen them thrown out?

Well it has been 35 years since we went thru this with our youngest but if I remember right it wasn't rushed. Don't pressure the young'un. Are you using a dedicated potty chair ? or just yer terlit? Kids learn by observation. This may sound more than a little weird but if the potty training gets to prolonged, take the kid to the head with you every time you need to go and sit the young'un down on the potty chair while you do your bizness. Then a big "That's how big girls and boys do it" speech. But then I am in my mid 50's and some times still have a little trouble with doin my bizness when and where ever the mood strikes me so your milage may vary.

Bribing/rewards with stickers and snack size halloween candy helped alot, but not 100%. Like another said above, she waits for diaper to use #2. Interesting since her first success on the potty was #2.

we have been having constipation issues with my 3yo but #1 just clicked about two weeks ago. The commando thing didnt work. Squirting cherios didnt work. A combo of one candy skittles reward and 'throwing out' soiled underpants did it. They gotta be cool underpants tho. We used superheros and monster trucks. Now he is even getting up in the middle of the night to go. Not all kids are the same tho. It is frustrating. Goodluck!

Yes. After 2 or 3 pair were thrown in the trash can outside she got the picture. She would cry after them about not tossing them but that was the final straw. We bribed her at first with miniature ice cream sandwiches for poo in the potty.

Well,:Dmy youngest is 35 and the oldest is 38 and they call me once in a while to tell me what a big poop head I am. But Poop isn't usually the word they use to describe me.

Ours battled constipation pretty bad when little as well as sometimes now, I regret we cheered her on on the painful poops in diapers. Good poops at any age is good in my book LOL!

We changed our diet and both girls have had a lot easier time going after that. More real food and the least processed food possible and they're both very normal.
