I know exactly that kind of frustration. Our old farm had lots of hills I had to clear and even 4x4 machines became my families' game of "how long til we see dad trudging back to the house all pizzzzzzzed off"...  If I had a nickel...

We're getting hammered here now. I'm just gonna wait this one out til tomorrow. I can punch out thru 6 foot drifts if I have to with the JD to make the first pass then whittle with the Jeep's small plow. Just went out back thru the garage with Giz. I think she likes it... :dancer:

Well this has been a nightmare here! Back in October I replaced the bowl, bowl gasket, auger belt and brass bolt that secures the bowl to the carb along with its gasket.. I tested after all this work and it ran fine and started on 1st pull.. Today I put gas in tank and found it running out of the bowl!! Problem caused by the brass bolt gasket which was fine in October.. Of course I have spare bowl gasket but not bolt gasket! Finally wrapped in Teflon tape after trying several faucet gaskets which were too thick.. Got the leak to stop but snowblower will not start!! Keep in mind I am laying in 2' of snow trying to fix this friggin' thing! Pulled plug and it is dry so no fuel going to engine.. I give up!! As luck would have it my neighbor drove by with a loader and saw my daughter and me shoveling and dug us out.. We stopped shoveling about 3:30PM but it's still snowing heavy here.. Oh yeah my shelter left side tarp literally ripped horizontally completely across and these are the heavy duty silver tarps! Think I need a new snowblower I can't play this game anymore.. :(

Worse part is my wife can't come home from work (RN at hospital) if I can't clear this out.. Thank God my neighbor dug us out! He's a great guy that still operates heavy equipment at 77 years old! He refuses money and always will.. I told him Bob send me a bill and I will pay it and he said Ray have I ever charged you anything? I told him no but I full expect to pay and he said we're fine.. Now that is a great neighbor! He and I do some fishing in the better weather..

Sorry to hear that Ray. These type of things always seem to happen @ the worst possible time. Kudos to your neighbor for stepping up.

How are the roads to her work? You guys definately are getting the bullseye on this one. As long as she's warm and safe, right? My honey used to work at the local hospital and she had to stay put there a couple times. Too bad the food wasn't so...;)

Sorry to hear about your troubles Ray. Glad to hear your neighbor helped you out. I'm just heading out now to give it hell. Started the blower a few weeks ago and then again last night so should be all set ( fingers crossed).

Still snowing and blowing very hard here. Can't see out worth a darn. If the snow plow has come down my road, I can't tell. I didn't hear it, can't see well because it is snowing so hard.
Here is a pic. my friend took and put on FB.
