yep, been working from home for the last 2 years. I like not having the 50 min commute each way, but it stinks on days like today when the office is closed but I have to man the phones.

I hope you have some gas powered equipment to move that much snow!!!
My dog does the same thing... if I don't shovel the porch, it gets "used"

You're so right Mech. The folks who make the big decisions are gonna be splainin' to a lot of people how "the BIGGEST STORM OF THE CENTURY"... only turned out to be a mild typical winter snow drop in some places. It's not like they come up with these predictions lightly either. They're supported by millions of $$$ of weather computers and genius forcasters... it's understood they're supposed to at least come close. End result... more and more won't pay any attention next time, at all. Not being able to trust main stream info is a very real problem across the board. Credibility is everything.

But that what Im saying - It IS a huge storm. Just not where you live.. You where on the edge to begin with, and it shifted so you got a miss. They didnt get it wrong per say, it just tracked 25-50 miles further east than the consensus model.

I dont mean to be argumentative, I jsut dont get how this proves the entire science of meteorology wrong or why anyone needs to explain/apologize.

I'm thinkin NY city. The splainin has already started down there.

Edit: Here's just a little of what's being put out for splainin... ;)

    "
A National Weather Service forecaster in Mount Holly, New Jersey, apologized on Twitter for the off-target forecast.

"You made a lot of tough decisions expecting us to get it right, and we didn't. Once again, I'm sorry," Gary Szatkowski tweeted.

Jim Bunker at the agency's office in Mount Holly said forecasters will take a closer look at how they handled the storm and "see what we can do better next time."

New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie defended his statewide ban on travel as "absolutely the right decision to make" in light of the dire forecast.

"We were acting based on what we were being told," he said. "

The snow is so light, the snowblower had no problem moving it.
I just had to keep an eye on the where the snow was going, if I didn't
think about wind direction I would get a facefull.

Went out and plowed my 1/2 mile ice rink, er driveway at about 8:30. It was a good 4" or so and I'm just about bored enough to go hit it again. I have a good hill (up to the road) that even with 4 chains on the skid steer it is difficult with the ice even with only a few inches. Mrs. fuelrod just started a pot of venison chili for later:drool:. Blowing pretty good and I'll promise some pics for our snow challenged friends to the west. Tough weather to take a decent picture in right now.
