    Pretty intense here right now.

Here is a pic from the 10 inches we got a couple of days ago

And here is what it looks like right now, the house is roaring. It's 105f in my basement.

Hard to say looking out there. The roof has been blown almost clear, no more than 10-12 inch... but my patio is now a 3 foot drift, along with the back door area. Probably 1.5 ft on the driveway and the snowplow bank looks up to my waist. I have not seen an estimate for my town on the news yet but they say 25 inches in Worcester and 14 in Boston... I'm closer to Worcester so probably around 20.

The snow is very light, which is helping to limit damage. So far they say only 12,000-15,000 people out of power in Eastern MA (out of a couple million residents). Most of that is on the south shore and the cape where they are dealing with storm surges and wetter snow. Some coastal towns have voluntary evacuations.

With as many wind events as the east coast has received in the last 10 years most of the inadequate/vulnerable grid is prolly close to new.
We get pretty good wind events here on the lake plateau regularly and never lose power.

BTW, I forgot what its like burning oak. I had been burning though the Ash, maple and locust stash so far this year... Locust is nice but these woods seem to make a ton of ashes! (bad pun) I owuld have to empty hte pan every day. Now I'm rocking the first stack of 2012 oak and it seems im getting longer burns and emptying the ash pan a lot less :)

We ended up with a total of around 7-8", all of it came from the clipper, not the storm you're getting. It's a nice powdery snow too.......

I hope it hangs around a while, I'm still trying to get my snowmobile back together......:(

We are officially at 21" of snow, drifts to 3 ft. I opened the covered porch door to let the dogs out and there was a 30" wall of snow. They looked at me "what now dad'? So I had to clear a path off the deack, down the stairs and out into the backyard. The male ended up pizzing on the deck and the female came down with me and found a spot.

I'm gonna take a stab at clearing some snow off the driveway, just to make things easier later today.

Just got off the phone with a buddy down in Cushing near Rockland. Winds howling much more than here and 8" of snow. Is that about what you've got now Dave?

Nice view out to the porch roof. It is about a 3' drift. I'll get this later.

The pinecone wood stack on the left is almost buried in a drift . That is a 6' fence behind it.
