My best guess for here is 12-16" or so. Not a small event for us but certainly not life threatening either.

Wind is almost a constant roar now. Every now and then just stops like someone throws a light switch and then it roars right back even louder.

Stuck my head out the front door ( not getting dressed to go out, least not right now ) the snow is coming sideways around the house with an arborvitae leaning over by the wind pretty good.
Windows on the north and west side fairly caked with snow can barely see out.
About 4 or 5 inches on the ground.

Going out to get a little more wood. Looks like we might be in the 8-12" category now. We'll see on Wed morning I guess.

The wind is maybe gusting to 30 mph here at best. It looks to be maybe 8" on the ground. There is some drifting, so hard to tell. There is a heavy band of snow set up just west of us. So far, not bad. Power is on. I'm going to get the stove going and make a fresh pot of coffee. The south shore guys will have some pretty interesting reports. Cape Cod reporting 70 mph wind gusts. Be safe today.

Hard to tell what we got so far, with the wind blowin.....my best guess lookin outside the back slider....about a foot.
The dog wouldn't leave the deck....
Guess I will finish my coffee, fire up the Cub Cadet and move some snow.... then let her out from the garage.
OK...I'm gonna have a second cup before I head out there.

I have a suspicion that this is going to be a big (media as usual) overblown dud.
Before bed last night one (weather) guy showed that this "storm" had the potential to produce up to .8 inches of rain. Don't care how you twist that around, but if that figure was anywhere near correct….. dud!
Now it's blowin' sideways right now, and it's supposed to do this all day. I hope I'm wrong but with the wind, you might as well throw your measuring stick on the fire, so snow totals are all speculation (when it blows away).

Lot of drifting out there, so hard to tell... Maybe a foot.. Maybe a little less. Still coming down hard. Wind is definitely fierce. Power still on.

Started snowing here at 5:30 this morning. Was clear at 5 when I got up and started coffee. Thinkin' you may be right fuelrod ... the guessers are starting to back off on predicted amounts. They're much better at telling us what has happened later... sooo we can look forward to that... ;)
In their defense, they actually think they can predict what Ma Nature is gonna do... I'm happy with whatever she gives. More on Friday maybe.

Wind gusts are less frequent but still fairly strong.
Every window packed with snow I can't see outside except the kitchen window and there is a drift across the 8 feet of roof under that one with a drift that starts at nothing and is about 18 inches closer to the window. Hard to tell how much snow is out there as can only see trees outside that window.
    Coffee and then venture out.

damm the doors are both snowed shut.
Coffee, pants and shoes are in order now.

It must be very localized, because here and around Boston and the Cape its unfolding pretty much exactly like they predicted. ????

Juno - hah! Any Juno where all the friggin snow is? Woke up to MAYBE another half inch of fresh powder and calm winds. I'll clear the driveway with something that has some real wind: my backpack blower.

It looked Brutal out there. I'm glad I have a cab on my Garden Tractor.
Spent about an hour and a half moving snow.
I should have installed the snow thrower on it yesterday, but the Johnny Bucket got everything moved.
I'm glad I went out and started to open up the parking area and some of the driveway.
I'll go back out every 3 or 4 hours to try to keep things under control, then when the snow stops maybe I'll just have to do some touch up with the Sub Compact Tractor and the loader.
