Same here on catching up. For me, the coffee is really good this morning and work is closed today...THAT is a first for us .

Woke up to no power . Luckily it was back in about 90 minutes.....whew.
Hoping and praying it stays on, Heavy snow and high winds through tonight and looks like clean up tomorrow.

Keeping the oil heat running primarily to keep the pipes flowing with hot water for the baseboard heat. I was getting worried about the pipes in outside walls when power was out.

Spoke with Teresa this morning and she has to go out to clear her exhaust as the stove is not burning right at all. It's a 4" diameter but horizontal vent and has plenty of elevation but it sometimes blocks with snow due to the location of it. She is on the coast in Kittery Maine and its really bad there right now. My biggest concern is that its 12 feet up and she has to use the back of her Avalanche pick up truck to get up there.

BUT, I was relived to hear that her work scheduled her to be off today as since she is a nurse she would have HAD to go in at 6am this morning with a 50 minute commute in good weather.

gbreda You need one of these.....don't have to worry about forgetting to turn up heat once in a while. Can be turned off when not needed....I had one in the previous house....works like a charm:

Good point, I have seen you talk of these in the past. My bigger concern was when there was no power but this is good insurance as well.

Sigh, they are talking 2 more storms Friday and Monday. Guess this ends the fairly quiet winter since Thanksgiving storm.
