Looks like they'll get more there. Over 2 feet. My SIL's strong back and snowblower will take care of it. Grammy & the boys are in mighty good hands... ;)

So I've missed this thread and don't have time to read everything that is going on in the last 24 hours on it. Can someone give me a quick rundown of who is expecting what from the FHC guys who are going to get hit with the major part of this storm!

1993 storm of the century .
Our logging division was out of workable timber and got some leads through a friend down by Pittsburgh. Left on a Thursday IIRC and went down ,,, got a hotel,,, and went out chasing some leads. Cruised a couple pieces Friday and Saturday morning when the warnings came on the Radio. That area was supposed to get 18" by nitefall. Everyone was in a big panic saying that town hadn't seen 18 inches of snow since Moses parted the Red Sea. I was like WHAT ????? 18"??????? That's just a dusting where I come from.
Went back to the Tel and warmed up watched the news warnings . Thought no big deal leave in the morning for home .
About supper time I figured I'll head for a restaurant for sum grub. One after another ,, all closed.Grocery stores and gas stations all closed . Not a car in site. Roads hadn't seen a plow all day. Went back to tell and noticed some neon lights just down the street so I took a walk. Yep several bars were open and half full of patrons hunkering down for the storm. Twas a good nite.
Next morning left for home in about 12-18". Got 30 miles from home and the snow started getting deeper. Got 10 miles from home to witness 20-30' drifts . Roads had just been opened that morning with blowers. That was the worst I've ever seen snow in the belt. As a kid in the blizzard of 77-78 it wasn't even that bad.

Good chance we're gonna see a bit of that on the news tomorrow and Weds. With snow coming down at 2-3"/hr driven by 30-40 mph winds... it'll be pointless and nuts to drive in it. I'm looking forward to another impressive show by Ma Nature. She always puts on the best ones...

They had a headline on CNN that said LIFE THREATENING STORM! Well, ummm. Maybe if more people stayed off the streets when the weather was really, really bad and let the crews do their jobs there would not be so many lives lost! Sorry. My bad.
