Thanks for sharing those pictures Dennis.

You all would not believe the amount of ash in this 10 acre lot. I was in the woods this spring checking for maples , very few, but what really caught my attention is I couldn't find any sign that anybody has ever been in the woods cutting. If I can figure out how to post the satellite pic of the woods ( must be incognito as pallet Pete and Dennis would surely stop over after dark lol) you wouldn't believe what the summer view looks like. Dead trees everywhere.

Dray is made and I will post some pics of it in the next day or 2 behind the kubota. Thanks Backwoods , your a big help as always. I'm sure there will be some syrup with the lovely Judy's name on it soon!

I should change my screen name to I heat my house with ash.
wishlist you probably don't but if you ever do need any help you let me know.
FYI, those that don't know pallet pete and wishlist drove 45 miles and spent the day helping me pull out a boatload of ash in the winter form a guys back yard.
I was in dire need of wood to burn, and those guys stepped up, went way out of their way and saveed my azz :):saw::tree::thumbs::dancer::dex::handshake:

Are you sure there is no sign of any cutting? That clump of ash looks to be suckers from a stump that was cut a very long time ago. I bet it could tell a story.

Paul, I'm sure at someone cut many moons ago but I honestly couldn't find any old stump ect. The owner has been at the property since the early 60's and doesn't recall anyone ever cutting in these woods. I live in Ag country with small wood lots in the middle of sections and you always see old stumps , tops left from logging , or just some indication someone has been in the woods . Not here!

I told Dennis I'm working a trail to get the huge 32" dbh oak that blew down . It's recent as there is no signs of rotting on the tops . Pictures will be coming soon!

Ah yes, I remember that day HD. Tuff getting that wood up the hill and if my memory isn't fuzzy another hoarder named Scotty never showed up with the helicopter that day to help us out? Still mad at that guy! :headbang:
