I was two. My parents have pictures of me in my orange snowsuit standing in it up to my armpits.

I was in the Navy on a shakedown cruise down by the Bahama's (I think) and missed the storm of the century..

You're all set in that department. You have that 555 all fueled up?

No but I have 2 gallons of premix ready.. The 024 has fuel in it from when I tested it.. Couldn't test the 555 again due to visiting daughter for her birthday.. Got home around sunset.. Lately it's been crazy here!

I recall a few years ago when I worked 35 miles from home, that a big storm was hitting overnight. As we asked our boss whether the office would be open tomorrow, she said yes, regardless of weather. HR said the same. So next AM, armed with my Audi quattro that can get through anything road conditions can throw at it, I was getting ready to drive in. Police was blocking all the entry ramps for the freeway, which was my only real way to work. They declared a state of emergency, saying anyone that would need road assistance would not be helped, and to travel at your own risk. I texted coworkers, that all lived within 10 minutes, and only 1 showed up. I, and anyone else that called in, had to use a vacation or sick day. I thought that was garbage, as it was beyond anyone's control, and that business seemed like the only one open in Milwaukee area according to the cancelation ticker on the tv screen.

    We're in C.

I topped off the garage with wood this morning and fired up the genny since I haven't run it since early December. Have 15 gal of ethanol free gas. Flashlights are good to go. Oil lamps are filled. Candles easily accessible. The basement always has our home canned food plus other stuff.

    Yep. We're ready. :)
