I'll send a thread when I finish cleaning out the garage. Shelves, epoxy floor and now you have me thinking stihl orange walls, maybe a stihl fathead.

Will be working on learning the square file thing. Like a new car the first scratch is the hardest to take.

Was thinking that also like my girl to have some nails.

I say have it "dipped"!!! Maybe do the top & clutch cover in a carbon fiber, or to just the top in some loud & badass pattern. Talk about facelift...

You can put it on a saw for use - especially if you're just doing the top. As I mentioned in my thread, a lot of guys have guns & bows done. As well as duck calls and a host of other items that see a lot of action.

I have the factory double dawg kit that is really nice on mine. I posted a muffler mod thread a while back that works great on this saw too. I think it helped it out some and anyone with a drill can do it.

No doubt in my mind we are on opposite sides of the spectrum on our approach. :smoke:

Muffler mod and a dual spike kit.. A Sugi, Tsumara, etc if you want to shed a few ounces of weight.

The 3/4 wrap is only worth it when bought new from the dealer. It's about $50 more for the R package (dual spike kit, 3/4 wrap, and larger clutch cover). To buy all this separately, it's a $200 kit

I put a dual spike kit off of ebay ($22) on my 261. The 362 got OEM (over $40) from the dealer.

I would buy the aftermarket off of eBay. Cheaper and I can't tell the difference.

Here is the 362 (I was stupid enough to pay $150 for the 3/4 wrap separately)

    The 362 (OEM spikes)

You could always go whole hog and get it dipped...Sorry I don't know how to link to the original thread that I stole this picture from. NewToStihl had this done and I think it looks awesome. I wouldn't do it myself, but hey, you said you are open to all suggestions.[IMG]

Ah, you are a little late to the party. You might want to read the full thread before posting. Check out post number 24.
