Well my good luck with green supremes ended last night lol… I opened a bag and they looked normal I poured them in and they looked normal I fired it up and they didnt light but smoked to high heaven. I dumped the pot and tried 2 more times before they lit.
Great only 2 crap bags so far the rest burn great.. Those must be your crap bags! I'll mail them back to ya
I got a couple formerly wet bags from my dealer a couple years ago. These were "Southern Hardwoods' that were trucked in from TN. They were dry when i opened the bag so I just mixed them in with my regular pellets and they burned OK.
If you just dumped them? Then the auger likely had pellets from your previous load? Your ignitor could be going? It could need cleaning? The receptacle underneath could need cleaning? A reduced airflow through the entire system could reduce airflow? I have burned 24 different brands of pellets (Green Supreme being some of them/NEWP pellet) and none have failed to light, in the 5 different stoves I have owned/operated. Yes, I keep a bag of each brand burned/tested. Sad, I know. .
I agree.....never had a pellet fail to light including when the ignitor was 1/2 shot.....even the horrendous Infernos & Instant Heat-Less lit.
I did it again tonight I didn't have the burn pot all the way in…. Totally my fault I feel so dumb I usually clean under the burn pot and didn't even remember this time. I think that was the issue.
What's sad is was thinking about your catalogue of sample bags, before you mentioned them. Can you throw up a pic? What's even sadder is I want to see them again.. Nah.. It's not sad it's fugging awesomeness! Let those suckers have the super models & limousines -- we have extruded sawdust!
I have one brand that takes alot longer to light than the other brand, that with burn pot installed correctly and vacuumed underneath....
