You must have been out early enough that the sun wasn't blinding you.:bug:
Hate going to Alpena in the morning on a sunny day.

It does get interesting when the sun is right in line and the roads are ice or snow pack. Then that sun is not so much your friend.

Beauty day, sunny cold and no wind. Figured after reading a few posts about stove cleaning I'd do the T5 before heading out to the honey hole.:)

Thin skim on the shovel and can actually see through the glass now.:D

Took the big flashlight up with me and those larger chunks were up high on the chimney which is usual for here.

    Gorgeous sunrise, Joe.

My camera just doesn't do justice to our sunrises. I've pretty much given up trying to snap them. But they are beautiful, and right outside my sliding glass door, so I do get a great view as the sun rises, light show through the trees, then reflected in the lake.

Terry, Approximate DBH of the monster ironwood? Was it down, standing dead, or alive?

About 25ft and 12'' at the base Sherwood and standing dead. Half dozen blocks still sitting there that need splitting and will grab em next weekend, very big for around here ;) My buddies son built that stand 100 years ago Todd and is just an eyesore now.

Another good day in the bush with Mrs Loon

Is that big topless standing tree any good on the ridge between the bike and Loonette? Looks like a big maple trunk.
