    I still have that loop of CL. Stuck it back in the box and vowed to fix it, "one day". It's a good excuse to start square filing again I guess.

    I've noticed a difference.. It cuts quite well off the roll, and even better yet, if you grind it with a little more hook, you can get 3 sharpenings before you have to dress the guides.
    I knew dem sneaky Germans were up to something...
    I'll take my tin foil hat off now..

    IIRC, RSC had smaller rakers (front to back) than the new RS. RS has a larger, more rounded ramp

    Hedge, RS has gotten much better. Used to be that you almost had to file it off the roll, my last 2 rolls have been pretty spunky

    RSC was built a bit different than the previous RS. The heel of the cutter was raised to "reduce vibration". I wonder what effect that had on the angle of engagement in the wood?

    I didn't remember any change in the raker with RS>RSC>RS? Doesn't mean it didn't happen tho. RSK was/is a different cutter/raker.

    I do have pics saved of old oregon LG compared to new LG before the LGX today. Stihl I didnt really care to much about except for work chain.

    I know we have covered it before but what's the difference is RS (regular round ground chisel) and RSC and RSK?
