Hi folks - I've been lurking for a while, but figured I should introduce myself. In another life I was a forester and worked around the Lake States, North Dakota and Maine. I'm not new to heating with wood, but I certainly have learned a lot on this site. I'm a pot-hole on the information highway, so posting pictures will probably be a challenge for me - but I will try. Besides a firewood obsession I am an avid waterfowl and upland bird hunter. Chase deer and turkeys too.
Welcome to the gang! We are a rough bunch but you still might like us! Where about in Wisconsin? Ive taken too many trips to the Hayward area to count
Welcome aboard Wisconsin Woody! I'm sure you will enjoy your time here and make many new friends. Don't worry about posting pictures because it's so easy these guys could do it!
Thanks for the welcome! The mighty metropolis of Cecil, WI (population 373 or 465 depending on which side of town you come in on) is about 40 miles NW of Green Bay. When I lived in Maine I lived in Bingham for about a year then Oakland for another 9 years. Worked for the late, great Scott Paper Co. Many fond memories of Maine! Horkn - nice ID on the Gordon Setter. Most folks have never heard of one!
Yeah, I like all dogs, but hunting dogs, especially pointers are my favorites. I love my labs though too.
Hey I heard of it too.......once Horkn said it that is! Metropolis is right! You probably even have a stop sign in town!
A couple stop signs and 5 bars in Cecil! We've got Labradors too. Two Gordon Setters and one black lab.
