    Hello

I came across an older Pre-Igniter 2003 25-PDV pellet stove that was well used but had it looks like the original exhaust blower! ! !

This blower is a real whopper like the old Harman combustion blowers!

Then I just came across some new ones!

So why not use this for a hefty replacement for a 25-PDV or 25-PDVC or other models?

Jakel's are old style, require rear fan to cool motor. Most companies motors did away with this by adding more metal to dissapate the heat.My 06 still has the orig. jakel. They are a bit noisier because of the xtra fan,but have good long life, and good bearings. Most pellet stove motors are/were designed for other uses and interchanges are usually easy. You could just as well put in the GA motors that you like, would have been fine.I personally like the jakel because of good life, like a ebm papst.

    Good comments Bob
I think the new 1.75 amp GA blowers may last just as long but these enormous 2.1 amp blowers are king of the hill!

Looks like a big improvement Don. Thanks for sharing.:)

My furnace loves the new Motor and impeller I got from you. I can blow pellets out of the pot with the damper wide open!!

Don....that motor looks like the wrong rotation for an Englander.

Good to know Dexter! Your burn pot will not need as much cleaning and the pellets will burn more completely!

You are correct! The blower turns Counter Clockwise not Clockwise so it cannot be used for Harman or Englander or many other stoves!

A few fun facts, most draft inducer motors can change direction, just like auger motor, but have to flip over the cooling and shaft seal impellers.Average shaded pole efficency--25-35%.Psc average eff--75%.

Yep that is brunners.Another little bit of info, the next standard step in rpm is 3200,most stoves are 3000,so if someone has slight need of extra draft(flue too tall) that could help them out.

Austroflamm/rika ,some itialian stoves use ebm papst which are psc.Whitfield also used to use ebm papst, but without the rpm sensor.

    Hello
    I was just working on a 2008 PB-105 boiler with a 6 RPM auger motor. :)
It has a nice Gleason Avery combustion blower.

See pics. I will see if they still make them.
This turns clockwise and is a nice 1.5 Amps

    Hello

That exhaust blower above is obsolete. It may be due to some of them becoming noisy. The new blower without the back cooling fan is higher current and a better blower.
    See noise video below.

I do not have any documentation but I did talk directly to the manufacturer and they said it was an upgrade and the other blower is no longer produced by them.

That is a shaded pole single speed blower.
