Guys I have a 25" Archer bar (made in Australia), anyone know what replacement tip fits it? Or is it an Archer-specific tip? Smoked the tip on it yesterday dropping a huge red maple......
Your bar say MADE IN AUSTRALIA on it or just the word Australia? Made in china from what we talked about in a thread. More info. Dont know who posted this - ((((((((Keep your eye on the nose sprocket, a local guy in our area was selling these bars and about 6 out of the 16 or so bars he sold the nose sprocket bearing failed, fell apart and locked up the chain shedding it in a couple of cases and spreading the ends of the bar apart with the chain slipping down the side of what was left of the sprocket. I am told he returned the remaining stock to his supplier ASAP & now carries no stock with that name)))))
It said made in Australia, but paint is worn off... And yes the bearing failed and locked the chain up on me. Other than that, it's been a good bar......and trust me I've beaten the pizz out of it the past year and a half.
I would look at the oregon powermatch tips or a aftermarket tip like for the china made forester bar.
I hate to pitch the bar if I can get a sprocket tip for it. Although I didn't pay much for it to begin with...I got my money's worth out of it for sure.
