Just the red & white. Look at my thread on flame height, it was mentioned there.

Will the tstat on/off switch actually turn off the furnace like it does on a regular furnace? Or is it only for controlling temp?

Because from what I have taken in, I still have to turn on from furnace itself on/off button.

Don't quote me on this but I think the furnace will go on #1 heat setting so meaning in idle mode. You probably still have to turn On/Off at furnace

That's what I was thinking, dex explained tstat mode and fuel mizer.
My furnace now has a 2 degree swing and it seems to cycle every half hour or maybe hour. Which is fine for the oil burner. But Dex made it easy to understand and I would rather have it idle in 1 then go through the whole start up cycle on high each time.

A pic of the first fire is in the works? Which T-stat did you get? And first impression of the all the hard work?

I didn't Fire it up yet lol, shortly.....
All I need now is the tstat wired and damper above oil furnace. Trying to get it fired up over the weekend. I have a lux for the oil and I had a Honeywell laying around, Basic digital says 750 MV on it. Think it's a pro 3000

I also noticed the tstat 2 wire connector is on the board where the LCD is, looking for a clean way for it to enter the furnace. The back would be ideal, also noticed the cold air stack blocks the back panel from being removed?
Did they really put screws behind the 10" duct?
I didn't take note if there were screws there before installing cold air duct.

I just finished having mine WETT certified. All ok! He was surprised on my clean install especially in his line of work. I fed my wire through the back for now and awaiting for a T-stat. My vent is much cooler than my duct to furnace but it shouldn't be a problem with yours being insulated.

What did you use on the back to hook up outside air? It doesn't look like that duct goes on the furnace, is there an elbow or something on the furnace?

I'm using the Selkirk DT-M vent which has outside air built into the piping, looking at the third pic you'll see the flexible pipe going into the air inlet of the furnace. I used a 2" abs 90 for now, I will replace it with a steel one later.

Appears to me ivan that if you took the elbows out of the left side of your horizontal run your airflow would be greatly less restricted.I dunno, just saying.

No choice in the matter. My exhaust is in the way and I have to do a quick 90 degree turn.

When in Tstat mode, the furnace will not shut down. But will go to low fire (level 1).

Fuel Mizer is the opposite. It will shut down and refine itself.

No matter what setting, the furnace needs to be turned "On" once when put into that setting. Then it will continue course.

In other words, if the furnace is "Off" and cold. You can't put it in Fuel Mizer and turn the stat up to turn the furnace on. You must set it to Fuel Mizer, then turn the furnace on. Once it's on, it will continue to turn itself on and off based on heat demand. It will continue to do so until you either shut the furnace off, change the setting to Tstat (if the furnace is running, you can revert from mode to mode), or it runs out of fuel :)

You mean to go straight in. If I did that, I would of lost some headroom. I would of removed the smaller take offs but then I would of had a nightmare of figuring everything back together tidy!

Ok that's what I was thinking but not 100%. And you can run these without turning them off for the entire winter other then cleaning? I plan on doing what you described, tstat mode since its in the 20 degree range and letting it go to setting 1. I am hoping to use this as my main furnace if it puts out heat.

Mine is just keeping up and it's much colder here:shiver: I still have some tidy up to do:dremel: Yours is fully insulated and newer and much less air ducts SO you should have no problem heating the house:fire: Unless the house has no walls & roofo_O
