Oh yeah, I didn't even notice the left lower corner until you mentioned it. But still a great view.

Our friends were just leaving and my wife wanted them to see the flames so we opened up the air about three quarters and got some impressive secondary air flames on top. Then I cut the air back to about one tenth open, almost closed, and we got a spectacular combo of rolling catalyst flames in front with secondary flames up top:

I'm having a blast with this thing. Probably couldn't tell, right?

Similar feel, just a LOT more of it. Definitely far far more heat coming off the glass.

I'm going to have to move the stove farther out into the room (fortunately the horizontal segment of double wall stove pipe going into the Class A at the thimble is a sliding adjustable piece too.). Surface temps at the door frame of the left hand side of the stove have hit 140 during the hottest burns today and that's really making me uncomfortable.

Yeah, you probably should get some more clearance just to be on the safe side.

What would you call that, 75% full? Next load try closing the air completely and let us know what happens.

Also, we are getting the wind over here, as well.

Yeah, 75-80%. But I'm burning 80% cherry and the rest is some ash and locust and a very little bit of oak that is seasoned well enough to burn.

Running primarily cherry I don't expect real long burns, honestly.

I have about 2/3 cords of seasoned oak that I will use to try for the longest low burns sometime in the near future.

No, they weren't ready yet when they built mine. It should be an option when they come out next year.

Temporary solution, these were protecting the walls behind a wood cook stove I picked up earlier this summer.

BrianK- You have a 8"- to- 6" reducer, is that a benefit or was the stove designed for 8" flue pipe? Would it burn better with 8" pipe? Thanks, JB
