Pic 8207 is a small ironwood that came down two storms ago, pic 8210 came down in the same storm across the trail, 8214 is a rotten Hemlock from the same storm, pic 8215 is a combination of ironwood & maple. Pic 8216 is a Maple branch that came down earlier this year (I think it's Sugar)8217 is some Birch & 8218 is the total wood from those branches.
Nice work woodlands! Great pics as usual. Going to get a little cooler very soon! Nice color saw you got there!
Premium wood. Good days work. Shorter days & you seem to still get lots done You know your trees, & their history. Giving them names yet LOL Do I see a little dusting of snow?
Great pics. I cant wait to get back to splitting and stacking. I started to move some wood and my wife the nurse came out gunz blazzing and had me stop. Sometimes I need the nurse to set me back on track. Recently had surgery and shouldnt be doing any lifting, bending or drinking. damm on the last one.
Wait a minute...... I'm the one who noticed, I got dibs. Back off Jack! Well, back off Gasifier doesn't sound quite right, so.......
Thanks Sav, one of these years we'll get to burn a NY face cord, my neighbor can smell the ironwood before I get out of the woods, he usually comes out of his house to inspect the firewood I'm hauling.
SmokinJ turned me on to the Canola & Veggie Oil. In the picture is Veggie Oil but it's time to switch over to Canola, the Veggie Oil will thicken up big time once we get below a certain temp.
Just a dusting today, south of us has some Lake Effect warnings on. I need another two weeks without any big snow so I can get my shoulder season wood out & stacked. The oldtimers call it hardhack.
So veggie oil in cold and canola when its warmer? I have heard of this.... it really works the same as bar oil?? The money savings will be nice. Nice work Woody. I'm glad the heavier white stuff is holding off, so you can get some cutting in. Looking good!!
In the coldest weather, the veggie oil will be thicker than thick, the canola oil never changes, I use Wesson. Last year when it was 10 below outside, the jug of veggie oil in our garage was like lard, the canola oil never changed.
