Thats what I did more or less, if I had to do it over again I would have just went with a well insulated house, the south windows with below zero temps are a pain.

And in Maine anyway... south facing glass, while good at times in the colder months... are brutal in the summer months. Drove us out of our last home. Even with shades, they were way too hot for me.

Unbelievable. Don't go after the other 95% by banning them. Just regulate and give them options. But try to ban the wood burning altogether because they cause 5%.

I signed it too. We have to help Utahn's out against something as imbecilic as this busybody trying to take over peoples heating source.
I would like to think this stupidity will be brought up in the next election there.

I signed it and made the simple statement that clean burning wood stoves are not the problem........So the other day I went past an old house the town has been complaining about and they did a controlled burn and burned it down.....I didn't see any smoke scrubbers cleaning up the air....:hair:

    Definitely
Understand you. As we all do scotty but
The very people that are pushing the bans are politically motivated covering themselves with the veil of environmental ism.
We need to call them out and challenge their "studies" they use to justify this bunk and get some ammo against it.
While most burners know the need for seasoning the ones that dont do need to be informed with reguards to privacy of their home and private property but we already do that as best we can.
Further, u try going to that wierd guys house down street who looks more like a smoker than a stove going and telling him he needs to burn clean wood. u might leave w a shin er or 2.

Granted.....all I'm saying is we have to do our best to be the "better man" and keep preaching the "3 Year Plan " and longer seasoning times. We are definately growing here ar FHC and that's what needs to happen so we can get the word out and make the connections necessary to keep up the good fight for our rights to self sustain and heat our homes with wood.
