Poor dogs lost access to the big yard. They will have this 10 x 20 area till the snowdrift over the shed melts, hopefully sooner than last year (May). We close the wire fencing that is folded back on the bottom right in the pic.

Yesterday, worked in a house with three Mastiff and one bulldog. At the end of the day, had to go upstairs and bleed radiators. House was empty, homeowner was gone all day till 8:00. Dogs barking at us all day. Anyone see any problems here? Turns out, 3 of the dogs were fine. The fourth was in a room by itself that neither of us would try entering! Thing is a monster! One of the mastiffs became fast friends with me and followed me from room to room seeking attention.
As far as the monster goes, we'll be back there this a.m. to try and coordinate with the homeowner. Maybe the tool box needs one of these?

New pup on board. This one is "Reba". She's an English Setter (Llewellin) that had a long, cold trip this past week in a crate, inside a horse trailer, from the Chicago area to New Hampshire. She fits right in with the rest of the pack, and even helped me move some kindling today.

Sharp looking pup. Llewynns were a favorite of the Late George Bird Evans. He was a staunch upland hunter and dog trainer, and a original writer for Gun Dog magazine. Is this pup gonna be a hunter?

Hopefully. She's seen pheasant while in Illinois and has pointed. Wife likes the couch potatoes, though. It depends on my schedule, I'm working a Beagle at the moment, but do have a couple of grouse wings in the freezer for Reba.
If I can get a couple hours each day with her, I think she'll be a good gun dog.
