Reminds me of a breaking news story I saw years ago. They were proposing to put in a industrial waste burning facility in a lowering income neighborhood. They did a live broadcast with a mother who was holding her baby in her arms. Reporter asked her opinions and she said it was horrible that they were putting all the stuff in the air that her children would have to breathe. Said in the summertime she'd have to keep them in the house or move. As the camera pulled away she proceeded to pull her arm up from her side and take a drag of her cigarette and blow it in her child's face.

I doubt it will take too good of a lawyer to overrun this guy with facts. I'm looking at his home and thinking he hasn't won too many cases in his career.

She has raised $ 1000 in less than 24 hrs folks.... thats great! We all know we can rant, complain, and debate sometimes, and its easy to do that. Getting out there and being proactive; fighting takes money..... rallying takes time as does writing to politicians and fighting lawsuits like this!

If I were in her position I wold be tempted to paint my house pink with blue polka dots the day his for sale sign goes up. See what that does to his home value.

We had an older guy move in next to us at our old home. His "shack up honey" was an attorney fresh out of college. During a road meeting my husband joked about putting up pink flamingos on our corral posts. We then recieved a phone call she might file for harrassment. :picard:

I'd have put them all over the yard. I can't stand when someone wants to tell someone else what they can and can't do on their own damm property. The same burn barrel issue neighbor has no problems smoking up his whole yard with his woodstove. My realtor thought I was joking when I said if their was a "development" or HOA close I did not want to see the gouse.

Interesting that this man has a problem with wood heat, but I bet he does not have a problem using electricity, most of which is produced by coal, which is not exactly clean-burning. Seems like this woman is burning correctly and is not one of the wood-burners spewing smoke into the air. Hopefully she can win this case and then counter-sue for legal costs.

Or maybe he should check out our thread on the backpack blower. lol

Guys this is a frustrating issue for sure. I'm gonna pin my mouth shut on the issue because it's hard for me to truly contain myself. But I'll say this much......the more we let our rights be eroded away, be it by special interest or by individuals that have a bug up their arse, the worse this country is gonna get.

There are other ways to avert this situation. A real-time air test with real results done by an independent company with no ties to either individual involved would be a good idea. Also, honest explanation of what is in wood smoke would be necessary for fair judgement here. There are groups out there saying that wood smoke (from trees) contains cadmium and other poisons and that just isn't true. And dry wood, when burned properly, is one of the most carbon-neutral, cleanest methods of heating you can get.

Keep it clean fellas, I feel your frustration. But keep personal names out of the thread.......

Steam is what I saw also. I can see deep snow on the roof so it may have been very cold.
